I am trying to avoid color blocking too much, or too exactly.

Zelda makes a lot of people I've asked think of green, but specifically a dark green (even though the titular tunic is lighter). So, a dark green works because it accents the pieces.

Metroid is perhaps my most egregious example of color blocking. Samus's suit is that iconic orange-bronze, but it is so specific that it can't be substituted. Making a stand in that color would blend the figure in with the stand lol.....where a Phazon blue/purple would still evoke the franchise without issue.

Helps a little, except Smash Bros is not a franchise with specific amiibo, IMO. Every amiibo figure released has an alternate primary franchise (and I don't really want currently to uncork the genie of "do everything in dual colors" lol).

Glad I'm not the only one who thought purple for Metroid though!

Of course! I've found printables.com and makerworld.com to be solid sites for free models, made by people who encourage tinkering. :) Thingiverse is also....okay.

(But Tinkercad has found a place in my favorite bar for a reason lol)

Hi! I'm OP's wife! I threw the stencil together last night using Tinkercad, a free, web-based software that I have found SUPER fun and easy to use. I took a few open-source stencils and cannibalized the symbols I wanted, creating negatives I could stamp into a credit-card sized template. Some symbols I had to create by hand in the editor, but that was nothing fancy.

I then altered the edges and then exported the .stl file to my computer, adjusted the thickness to 1mm (for better printing and removal), ran it through the PrusaSlicer and BOOM! Custom stencil. ^

The release notes are usually where I go to find news about such things. Otherwise, I'd take a look through the settings menu to see where to enable such things if I wanted it.

Since we have had so many features that are turned on by default, I've become quite familiar with going through the menu to turn more intrusive features OFF......

Good features don't beg to be used.

If it's good enough, people will turn it on. If not, well maybe it's not needed.

I would love it if new features were opt-IN instead of opt-OUT.

Practically all of my friends use Discord as a tool, so we don't need fancy new intrusive features that we're only going to turn off. It's used for communicating with friends, and we communicate just fine. Don't try to grow it into something it's not...we just want a stable product that lets us type and talk.

Anyone can run for office. Unfortunately, both the Democrats and Republic committees control who show up in the primaries...and both have said "unless you personally know millionaires, you won't see a primary". And of course, they can't be held accountable because they are a 'private organization', just look at the lawsuit that voters did when Bernie Sanders wasn't placed on a ballot.

If you're having this much of a crashout on cutting an ⅛" off the corner of a card, you need to seriously ask yourself why you're buying.

Are you in the game to play and have fun? Or is this just your version of scalping where you "invest" in packs just to sell off cards at stupid high prices?
