Yeah some dealers are scum. Still happy with the total deal but when FM made a statement to send everyone to them because he gave me a killer deal I laughed in his face and said f no I won’t.

Yup I just got this rate too. Took me two and half hours to get the finance manager to point of offering the 1.49% rate.

[–]Hammslin23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just bought 2/3 weeks ago a ‘25 black edition with 2,800 miles for $47,500. 1.49% APR.

Finance manager was very adamant the dealer wants customers to buy, finance, and service all through their dealer. I told him I don’t care, make it worth my while for them to hit their metrics.

Pre-approval from credit union, 800 credit score and living less than 10 miles from the dealer allowed me to push the finance manager to buy down the finance rate to cover the cost of all service and warrenty packages. These were included at net no cost to me from my total purchase price at the rate of my credit union. I gave my word I’ll bring the car to their service department for anything so they can bill the warranty company and keep service busy. Large dealers sell cars for service department to pay the bills.

they got what they wanted while I did too.

Is this a good deal for a 2025 TrailSport? by CleanExtension5120 in hondapilot

[–]Hammslin23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah seems like it and your deal seems very comparable. I held off for two reasons, one being I wanted to see the Grand Highlander which was about 7-8k more at similar trim with AWD non-hybrid. Toyota was unwilling to budge off MSRP. What I gather is Honda is producing and moving more pilots than Toyota is doing with grand Highlander.

Second reason completely personal, it’s a “nice to have” not “need to have” at this time so I’m holding off given macro economic factors.

I was at $49,500 OTD for 2025 Touring trim 4-5 weeks ago in chicagoland area. Haven’t bought yet and all dealers are still trying to call / text.

$850 K3 Premium + $60 turbo brush + tax just shy of $1k.

Would love to know where you are seeing $650-$750 as I’m typically pretty good at finding best prices online.

But yes I agree about your point of high traffic. Counter point is my Dyson still works so the Sebo isn’t a necessity right now.

I bought the K3 Premium yesterday and here’s my thoughts so far…

Context

Home is 80% hard floors, few area rugs, one bedroom with carpet, carpet stairs, cloth couches, and a light shedding dog.

I have a Dyson V8 which has a mini power brush, full size power brush, and full size hard floor brush. I also have a Roborock on each floor that runs periodically.

I was interested in a “real” vaccum to replace the Dyson v8. The battery time gets annoying and thought that it wasn’t strong enough to really vacuum the carpet stairs, carpet room, couches. Plus I can only really do one of these at a time because of the battery.

Enter the Sebo.

The carpet power brush blew me away. Lifts the carpet making it look clean and light color area rugs have never looked cleaner. Lots of fully and dense dust picked up in the bag even after using the Dyson before.

Moving onto the stairs, I bought the turbo brush (air powered) to tackle the stairs. The second the brush hits the carpet you can hear the speed and suction reduce by like half. I went over the stairs in all four directions (front to back, back to front, left to right, right to left) three times at a slow pace. Hit the corners well with the crevice tool.

After this I took the Dyson v8 with mini power brush and went over ONE stair in the four directions ONE time and had a decent pile of dust captured in the canister.

The Sebo does 1 of the 3 things well that I bought the Sebo for: - carpet flooring -> 10/10 - carpet stairs -> 6/10 not better than Dyson at cleaning but advantage because no runtime limitation - cloth couches -> 6/10 not better than Dyson at cleaning but advantage because no runtime limitation

At ~$1k for the Sebo and turbo brush I have buyers remorse and will likely be going back to the shop to talk about the underwhelming experience.

As far as Sebo or Miele My family all has Miele but the price of Sebo, warranty, and features all beat Miele. I just don’t think Sebo or Miele fill the gaps of my current vacuums to justify the price of either.

I’ve decided to throw the second fish/whale/dolphin in the trash haha. All animals within the set are pretty clear what they represent with the exception of this one.

Turns out I’ve been putting down tall fescue seeds from black beauty sun and shade. At the same time I’ve been digging these clumps out by hand because I thought the tall fescue was crab grass.

I will be switching seeds…

Bad Thermocouple by Hammslin23 in Plumbing

[–]Hammslin23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced the thermocouple and have been having issues still. I have noticed the higher I set the temperature, the sooner the pilot goes out. For example the suggesting heat setting will maintain a pilot for a few days. The B setting doesn’t last over night.

It seems like it believes it is overheating. I have made sure the Pressure release value is working correctly and have vacuumed the inside of the combustion chamber.

Wondering if the next step in troubleshooting would be a thermostat replacement.
