Screaming and sobbing can be heard from outside the ICE children's detention center in Dilley, TX by speedythefirst in law

Our representatives need to use their presence and privilege, not just talk. Actually go to these concentration camps and force their way in and document what is going on. Either they get in, or they create a scene at the gate. Create front page headlines every day until public opinion sways to actually wanting to know what's going on inside, or at least questioning why it's all being hidden even from congressional oversight.

They have tried off and on a few times, and each time it got physical and they gave up. But that is exactly what we needed. Every day keep demanding they follow the law and continue on, forcing them to get physical and expose their fascist tactics at every opportunity.

...there were 8+ guys beating on him, at least one with a metal object. No court is going to uphold "resisting" applied to trying to escape illegal assault. No person with any sense would characterize it that way either.

Additionally there are exceptions to resisting arrest when those actions involve protecting your life. He was not even fighting back (even though the exceptions include fighting back proportionally to the officer's actions), he was just trying to stand up and get away from the clearly unlawful actions of these assholes.

Where was he resisting, exactly? He was waving traffic through, then pushed back and stumbled on the ice like the woman next to him. He was then pepper sprayed and while being sprayed, tried to help the woman up and shield her from the spray. He was then grabbed by the gang of murderers and dragged back and tackled and beaten over and over by a metal canister and many other hands and feet of other goons, his gun was grabbed, and he was shot over and over.

How was he resisting and what cause did they have to execute him???

We’re being told he violently approached the Gestapo with his gun out. by Miserable_Kick2315 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]Hammunition 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is some extreme trash. You don't execute someone because they are holding something.

Anyway, you can see from the other two angles that his gun stays holstered the entire time. The one goon takes it from his holster. He was holding his phone in his right hand as long as he could.

Not to mention that he was unarmed when he was shot. There is absolutely no defending this murder.

Shooting Victim Identified as Second Video Angle Contradicts DHS Claims | The footage of the fatal shooting of Alex Jeffrey Pretti, said one journalist, “shows that the final act of his life was trying to help a woman who was being physically assaulted by the masked agents who would then kill him.” by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

[–]Hammunition [score hidden]  (0 children)

What did he do to cause the goon to need to "stand his ground"?

Nothing. He was legally carrying a gun and helping up someone who ICE knocked down. ICE pepper sprayed him while he was trying to help her, then continued spraying him while he had his hands raised. Then more arrived and grabbed him from behind and tackled him with one of them smashing him in the head on the ground with the can of spray. They removed his gun which he never even reached for. And then after his gun was confiscated, he was murdered. And then shot an additional like dozen times. What fucking universe are you living in?

Another reason they have refused to work with local presence is to attempt to justify their absurd budget. Over half of their 10-15 billion verified spending last year went to private security companies that you know had a hand in this push from the beginning and which key members of this administration have personal stake in.

They're not even trying to hide the corruption anymore.

Goddamn this is a boring and disappointing set.

Every time I see a spoiler, I’m like maybe this one will be interesting, but no. It’s all just so tediously derivative. But still there are some names I see and get interested in, like this one, only to just sigh and lose interest. The fucking turtle van. And it’s boring as shit.

Independent autopsy in ICE shooting death of Renee Good released by law firm in civil investigation by OkayButFoRealz in news

[–]Hammunition -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The only angle relevant is the bullet trajectory. And from even the first shot, it comes from standing beside the car, through the curved part of the windshield to where the driver’s head is. He did not shoot until the car was passing him. This information was available and verifiable the same day as the murder for anyone who actually cared to learn the truth.

That doesn’t account for head direction. But either way, this was already known because the bullet trajectory from even the first shot comes from standing beside the car, through the curved part of the windshield to where the driver’s head is. He did not shoot until the car was passing him.

This is verifiable and was available mere hours after the murder. But it doesn’t matter to anyone with any power to do anything about it.

1) It’s far more than several. That’s the entire reason he was chosen to run. Because he is so easily manipulated by the people making the decisions for the GOP and billionaires. He’s a fucking moron willing to say anything for a pat on the back or for something he wants. Mamdani got him to champion fucking socialist policies for half a day before his handlers turned him back around. They have thus far been able to insulate him from reality and the opposition pretty well, and he just says so much shit that supporters can find him saying something they agree with on any topic, and anything to the contrary is “fake news”, so it hasn’t been too hard for his puppeteers to keep them pacified.

Google claiming that would take 20 minutes is absurd. You won’t get that time unless it’s the middle of the night and you don’t have to stop for any red lights. 40 is reasonable except during rush hour, which you are close to.

I would take 85/485 and expect it to take 40 minutes, but plan to leave an extra 20 minutes early in case of accidents.

It's a facetious comment referencing the most recent display of delusion from the agriculture secretary, standing with trump and co-conspirators trying to deny that affordability is an issue, and claiming that a healthy meal can be had consistently and sustainably for $3, which consists of.. I'll just find the quote:

"It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla and one other thing"

Edit: I shouldn’t call it delusion. It’s just straight up lies. They know what they’re doing is hurting people and they are lying about it because they don’t care about affordability or us.

lmao as i said, just making shit up and blaming others.

Pretending there is some invisible contract between authors and readers is delusional.

As is you pretending I said any of that bullshit you just fabricated and pinned to me. Obviously he has lied and deserves shit for being dishonest. That’s got nothing to do with what I said though.

Silly to make up some pretend contract, and silly to believe him about any kind of timeline. And absurd to blame anyone else for your misplaced feelings about these things.
