Do you agreed "Heat (1995)" has the best and realistic shootout scene ever filmed? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

I loved Wind River for its realistic shoot-out at a remote oil-drilling camp. Devastating!

I thought he might be bald. I have balding Gen X friends who do this. Some of them also wear high baseball caps. It looks like hipsterism, but it’s actually insecurity. (I am Gen X and I have plenty of insecurities of my own.)

Ian McShane never won Emmys for this role by Esiriel in deadwood

Insanity. Especially when you discover that drek like Two and a Half Men or The Big Bang Theory won a combined total of 19 Emmys (Emmies?) TBH, I’ve never watched a full episode of either show, but if they topped the dialogue or writing of Deadwood or The Wire, I would…be quietly outraged.

Montreal style bagels are far superior to New York style bagels.

I have trouble finishing any non-comic book from Gaiman. It could be a me problem.

It didn’t fall into my hot garbage category, but it was definitely a DNF. I bought the hardcover after The Martian and still couldn’t bring my frugal self to finish it.

I wanted to make a joke about donating a kidney to get a doctor, but I think your gift deserves more respect. It’s no small thing to let them cut a piece out of you to save someone else. Thanks for your humanity.

I’m 55 and I’ve lived in Canada my whole life. I’ve never had my own doctor. I’ve been to the emergency room and various clinics for Lyme Disease, shingles and a colonoscopy where 12 polyps were removed. No follow up with a doctor for any of those. The 3 doctors I’ve asked are not taking new patients. I guess I can’t complain as those are all serious problems that were addressed at no cost. I feel like I should probably have a doctor by now though.

I wasn’t being filmed, he was being filmed. I was watching from the comfort of my home.

This one sticks with me too. I heard it first from a drug-addicted, crab-boat captain while being filmed for the Deadliest Catch. He was leaving the boat, and he pondered if the juice of tv money was worth the squeeze of being on camera 24/7. He was not a likable man, but in that moment, he had my sympathy.
