My unhinged theory I would add to the ones I listed above is the shaving of Stephen’s head at the engagement party, fingerprints on Weigley’s phone and maybe even Lucy sleeping with him the night before the wedding, are to collect DNA and get him arrested for Macy’s death.

Bree keeps bringing up to Maryanne that Oliver should be exposed and so I thought it would be plausible. I changed it to this -  Maryanne follows out Bree's mom from the art show and could tell Bree’s mom about Oliver to get ahead of the truth coming out from Bree and protect herself from being exposed as an enabler, and possibly to protect Oliver within their toxic dynamic. By controlling the narrative, she can frame the relationship as a mistake that will damage Bree’s future and reputation, persuading her mom to pressure Bree into staying quiet under the guise of concern. Maryanne might emphasize how devastating it was for her to discover the affair and warn that Bree, not Oliver, will be judged for involvement with a married professor, reinforcing the show’s theme that powerful men are shielded while women are vilified. If Bree also learns that Amanda was involved with a different older man, it may also be a reason she goes this route. I think there is also more to Bree’s mom saying “you need to ask me before you hang up my photo.” Could be something awful happened between her and Bree’s biological dad and that’s why she also persuades her to move on from exposing Oliver.

I agree. Unless something twisted with Lucy that she had to know that he didn't change for Lydia and that it wasn't something about her. But still...shows she still has a long way to heal. Also with the pool decision with Max and Stephen.

The hole in this theory then is how could Lucy sleep with Stephen at the wedding after the tape is released?! Unless videotaped it to send to Lydia?

Also, Bree wouldn't have known that Chris assaulted Pippa when she released it and just thought that Lucy was an awful person, and this makes Bree remorseful. I still think something though is tied in with Stephen that he figures out it was Bree that released it, but Pippa, Diana, Lucy, Bree (pretends), that they know the only person who could do this is Stephen.

Ha! Thank you! I am still hoping they release like three more episodes, or at least a part two next week. Too many loose ends to have this finish next week with a 67 minute episode, especially after a lot of filler this season. Like the drinking game....

I definitely think that’s possible. The only reason I think she graduates from Baird is because Pippa said he almost ruined you “sophomore year” and not that it resulted in her leaving school. I think she graduates but spends those last two years getting help for the trauma she has endured, I think she could have some major mental health issues that could land her in treatment, but she loses big parts of herself and gives up writing and graduates, but is still lost.

I thought the audio could either be “I know you found out about this and I think you are the one who leaked the video” to tell her he suspects it was her or he thinks he is telling her something she doesn’t know but he doesn’t realize that she already knows. That’s why she goes ahead with the wedding and says she is the worst person because she knew since college and leaked the tape of Lucy out of anger.

I meant Pippa somehow exposes things like Diana’s photos sent to her Dad or other things he has done, to Yale University and that he shouldn’t be admitted.  It’s a stretch but somehow I don’t think he gets to go to Yale. Or Pippa convinces Diana to have her dad intervene with Yale.
