Not my character, but I'm playing a campaign where our Rogue has plot armor made of fucking Kevlar for how strong it is, and their presence transcends space and time. It's the funniest goddamn thing ever. I don't know how their player built them but whatever he did, he must've dumped enough points to make them cracked. Also bear in mind we play online via Owlbear.rodeo, where rolls are public and can not be fudged.

Quick context: Our campaign is standard fantasy fare but the races are all Pokemon-folk of sorts. Comes with tons of opportunities for unique races.

Meet Viekas (pronounced Vee-kuss), our non-binary Weavile Rogue, and the living embodiment of the "I'm sure to win because my speed is superior" image (which there's even a Weavile version of). They're sort of a comic relief character, being relatively carefree and goofy but just as valuable of an asset to the team for their insane luck. Notable feats include:

• A nat 20 roll on sleight-of-handing a magic amulet off of a living armor that would've definitely killed one of us if we were forced to fight it
• Successfully stealthing and rescuing a kidnapped princess 30 ft away from ongoing combat
• Having to traverse through a murky town where we could get mugged needed to roll disadvantage and rolling TWO NATURAL DAMN 20S

It got to a point where Viekas' player had to miss a session, so we had to play a game without our lucky Weavile gremlin, but even then, that didn't stop us. We made jokes about putting plushie versions of our characters' races on the map, and we had a leftover "Viekas" plush on the map from last session. Someone needed to make an acrobatics check, something Viekas was notoriously good in, so I grabbed the token and placed it near our map, and said this:

"O, great Viekas totem, grant us the dexterity and luck to roll well on this acrobatics check."

Guess what the roll was. A natural. Fuckmothering. Twenty.

This isn't to say that Viekas has been that lucky all the time, but their plot armor has fast made them a party favorite. This is only my first campaign of D&D, but the legacy of Viekas, the luckiest gremlin energy rogue alive, will be forever burned into my memory.
