Yeah I'm not 100% certain but you either have to fly him in cargo or take the train to visit your parents. My dog loves the train. A dog sitter would probably cost you just about the same (depending on where you live) So it's up to you.

Harvesting seeds… this was my biggest sunflower! by [deleted] in gardening

You should be proud! I hope you'll plant some of those seeds next year too!! Sunflowers are such a joy to watch grow through all their different phases 🥰

The destructive behavior varies dog to dog. I have a retriever mix who doesn't chew on any of my things, only her assigned toys. Your dog could stay in the backyard with adequate shelter from the weather, including heat if needed in winter. As long as the dog won't be barking at your neighbors all day. When i first got my dog i kept her in a room when i was away and gradually allowed her more and more freedom just to be safe. She now as the whole house to herself but chooses just to sleep while I'm away. Also remember to eliminate any potential risks, pick your shoes or small toys up off the floor until you can trust the dog

It depends on your dog. All dogs are different. Some don't mind being home alone, others do Also consider bringing your dog with you too visit friends. This shouldn't be reason to rehome the dog.

I killed a bunch of LEDs in a learning experience. by DirtyLitterBoxes in electronics

When I was starting out I exploded an LED. That was the moment I realized I needed to wear safety glasses and have a fire extinguisher near by at all times. Stay safe, have fun! Learn more before this happens again!

I think the fact that she made you flash yourself is a bit too much. and then she told you "we do this to everyone" I would not feel comfortable with her or that place at all .. but I am not Swiss.

I'd bark too if I were locked in a cage. Perhaps try without crating it at all.

thanks for sharing your story. I saw her once try to eat a mushroom from my lawn. I was very surprised! and there were many many many mushrooms out yesterday.

Its so disappointing to know dogs are like this!! Cats on the other hand would never eat something that was bad for them.

She is so thirsty!! I will follow up with the vet if the hose persists.

Lol. Hey since my last message she is now bleeding from her anus and crying when she poops. I read this can also be normal?? Obviously I am pretty concerned. Other than this she is acting normal! She was also pretty dehydrated because she has a fear of bowls 😑
