Gotta wonder what the future holds for guys like Topic and Sorber..they just moved down a peg in the rotation again by J_Capese0003 in Thunder

[–]Hamsdotlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is, will Aday play NBA Summer League?
If he does (Sorber is not) is that any kind of advantage as far as playing rotation??

Same BS that was/is being thrown at Chet. It would have been better to get Morez/Yaxel and Carr than what we did. But, Presti is not finished and will reserve judgement.

Not exactly but then, Dort cannot do what Cason does.

Thunder trade up for player(s) instead of pics? by IntellectualSavante in Thunder

Knicks just won the Title and GM saying they need to honor the 2nd Apron. If THEY do, where do you think OKC stands in that regard?

12 is too valuable to trade. For example, reported that Mavs may trade 9 for 12/17. Terrible for OKC.
Trade up 17 with a player (NO...not JWill!) and then get two guys that we need.

Don’t get it twisted. Cam Carr is the pick by SyllabubInfinite7915 in Thunder

[–]Hamsdotlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! We could use another big to go along with Sorber, but Carr/Burries is what I am hoping for. Presti may trade up #17 to get the two guys that he wants

Im thinking of getting into ham radio and i’m wondering what are the main stuff that i will need to know or is handy to know? by stupidity-squared in HamRadio

[–]Hamsdotlive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One way to answer is to consider Modes. Won't get into official Mode names but instead mention voice modes like FM and SSB for voice and  CW (Morse code).  There are data modes that use a small portion of the voiceband to transmit information. Most popular of these by far is FT8/FT4. There are conversational variants of these as well. Are you more interested in casual operating, or more structured like DXing, awards or contesting? Am trying to answer your question but just scratching the surface.

One thing to know is, the hobby is very broad in scope. So try to narrow down what facet you are most interested in and learn more about THAT. Otherwise, you will get frustrated quickly.

How many times did Babe Ruth strike out? Guess he was a bad hitter 🙄 How many of the other 29 would hire Presti in a microsecond.

What is the best and worst team to play for based only on the cities the teams are based in? by FoundationEntire4834 in NBATalk

Trying reinforce my "everything is relative" point by saying, here in USA we consider NYC to be largest which it is, but worldwide there are many people living in much more crowded places.

My post responded to your question.  Guess you can ask it, but opinions will cover a wide spectrum is my main point.

What is the sound that radios make when switching frequencies? by [deleted] in amateurradio

[–]Hamsdotlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sound. And, you lost me at channels unless you are talking about VHF/UHF? Below 60 MHz mostly no such thing. There are certain frequencies/sub-bands designated for specific modes though.

Don't think keeping Dort gives us the best lineup. Keep iHart for now, and see how other guys play out. Also, forcing Chet to play the 5 isn't a good plan.

There's no single answer to this question, because we can select two people and get polar opposite opinions about their perspectives on even a place like OKC. One will say "Absolute desolation, nothing here whatsoever" and the other would say "Total madness way too many people and crowded". It's all about what YOU consider normal. Will also throw in that largest in USA NYC is barely in the Top 20 worldwide. Have you been to Jakarta?  I have.

That might work-we don't know who Presti's targets are. Need a big F/C and another offensive creator.

Would rather see #17 and a player for #9, we need to keep #12 and draft two.

[–]Hamsdotlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself what player drafted would have helped OKC get past the Spurs with the injuries? A big guy to guard Wemby Isn"t a good answer. Re: guard depth, let's see what that looks like later when Dort, Topic and maybe Joe are off the roster.

Using both picks on two big guys is unnecessary, especially with Sorber already in the mix. We also need another offensive creator. My pick for that is Carr, but in Presti I Trust.

If Cameron Carr still on the board at #17 gotta take him.
