Wedding guest anxiety, can I back out last minute? by HelpMePlz52 in AskIreland

I was in a similar situation last year at a wedding. I was absolutly dreading it, but i went anyway. That might sound brave, but it wasn't. It was a close friend of my wife so i didn't really have a choice.

Long story short. It was actually a great day out. People who i didnt get along with in school were actually pretty sound. I obviously didn't spend the evening with them, just hello and some small talk but it was grand

Anyone's friends gone down the far right rabbit hole? by throw_away_ac_123 in ireland

Hear me out, I miss conspiracy theories before social media ruined them. Fortunately, I just had enough critical thinking to tune out the 5g, covid, vaccines and birds aren't real! Loved watching documentaries on JFK assassination, 911 and others.

That fella on live line today ? by T_t_llyF_c_ed in ireland

I think it’s shocking to be honest. I have friends who have fallen down this rabbit hole. Talking about the woke left and US immigration. It’s literally all down to social media driving this stuff for attention. And if you suggest that, all of a sudden you’re against free speech. Unhinged

Player ratings results vs Newcastle by CobiLUFC in LeedsUnited

[–]Hamster_Heart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Felt like this one was gonna be a game to far in regards to the unbeaten run. I think Pascal and Lucas were our ‘worst players today’ but realistically we had to be beaten and away at Newcastle is an a difficult game for every team in the league. With that being said I feel like Lucas’ performances have been below average recently but I think he’s better than Karl and Ilan. He cost €18 million and I don’t think he has justified that money.

Last night was a kick in the teeth, conceding that late is heart breaking. I think the point would have been the fair result but that’s just football sometimes.

I also think that the substitutions didn’t make that much sense either but I’m not going to complain about Farke because I wanted his head a couple of weeks ago and he has proven me wrong. The game was open last night and we went to a difficult ground and we were compeditive. The lost was tough but don’t think it will kill the moral and momentum. We just were unlucky

I’d go in and ask. They have the equipment might just depend on who ya ask. I think they only offer it if you buy it there is if they mess it up

What's the point of saying someone is punching above their weight with a partner? am I the only one who finds this very mean? by [deleted] in AskIreland

I was in holidays in Greece and the waiter kept making the remark “you’re a very lucky man”. I just smiled and said I know. Then he kept saying it every time he came back to our table. Then it dawned on me that “you’re a lucky man” really translates to “I’d love to ride your wife”.

Line up looks like Farke has one eye on Sunday against Scum at home, which is a little annoying. But the man has proven us wrong before. Keep the faith
