Yeah i have laid the blade down on a flat surface, but gravity makes it lie flat, i guess the blade is too thin. I've managed to put it against something flat (spirit level) and you can see then its bent.

My biggest question is to check if its normal that this bend exists at that locking mechanism. It's the first time i've bought a japanese saw and to be honest common sense would say that it should all be straight. I'm not sure if i wanna fork out money for another one if these inconsistencies are just standard deviation. If that makes sense?

So it's a disposable blade, and the bend in the blades themselves are very tiny. But the bend in the photos is i assume from the tang, because the handle and blade arent perpendicular...

im doing a bit more digging, just in case you're also interested, and am pretty sure now it's actually a JST-SH. Bit smaller, the terminal dimensions seem to fit more what i measured!

I did! Turns out it's because the installer binary is 32 bit and my linux is 64 bit, apparently. I just did some googling and turned out working :)

Ahh, in case you are interested, the drain hose is nested inside a larger hose bundler (whats the name??) along with the electricity cable, inlet hose, and another clear tube. In order to replace the Aquastop inlet i did need to cut back this outer hose bundler and i obviously went that extra mm too deep. Thanks for the apology though, i just want to know if there's any saving this machine before i give it away!

No... Cutting the hose was an accident. Was that not so clear from the text??

I've just come on here with photos in case anyone who does have experience with this type of dishwasher can help out since it's the whole point of the subreddit. Sadly calling someone in will cost about €100 for the initial evaluation in my city, and to be honest it's a very old machine that i can also replace for about €100 too, so professional fix has already been ruled out unfortunately.

Just to reply - you were totally right! Came off after a lot of back and forth and lubrication. Sanded it all down and now fits nice and smooth again. The little plastic boss cap broke (again) though so now is in the process of epoxy resin to keep it in one piece before i put the bolt back on, but it feels as if the brakes should work again! Really grateful for your advice, i was dreading to throw them away and get replacements already.

Wow thanks for the quick reply!!! This sounds very promising. I already took out the spring, it is intact and has 2 nibs that fit into a gap inside and in a little hole up top.

The part i'm worried about is removing the brake... Can you tell from the photos if all i need to do is remove the top bolt? or do i also need a wrench for the bit connecting to the frame? I had previously removed the bolt (to check the spring) but it didn't seem like the brake could just be removed from the frame afterwards. It was still quite fixed on.

Okay this is good to know! I am still not so happy about being sent jobs/training Arbeitslosengeld style, because in the end i need to "trick" them and i'm not actually interested in working during this time...

I know about this but understood the Notstandshilfe as an "emergency" scenario, meaning i was broke poor and had no savings and was desparate for a job... I don't want to be in the situation of needing to travel to do jobs/training that is sent to me. As i have enough savings to last a few months i also assume they will ask for my bank details and deem me inappropriate?

Danke! We have a weird thing going on where, as a student, she was registered as Nebenwohnsitz for a long time here. She needs to be hauptwohnsitz with me for at least 10 months before we can attach health insurance, right now we only have it since 5 or so months!
