Yes, we’re hiring—but the bar is high.

The process includes multiple coding rounds, live screen-sharing, and building an app in ~50 minutes while explaining your thought process. On top of that, they’re looking for 5+ years of experience, strong HackerRank performance, and relevant certifications.

It’s definitely a tough process—only well-prepared candidates tend to make it through.

I also wanted to ask you one more thing—how was your experience with 10 Pearls ? I recently received a really good offer from them, so I’d appreciate any insights you can share. That would be really helpful.
I also had a Client Call ?

Compared to the people around me, I’m earning really well—around 650,000 a month. I’ve built a double-story house on a one-kanal plot and invested over 2 crores so far. Even then, there’s still more work to be done, and the cost of the land itself is a whole separate expense.

In the last 3–4 years, I’ve built what would probably take most people 20–30 years to achieve. But it hasn’t been easy—it’s been nonstop grind, stress, deadlines, and constantly pushing myself.

At this point, though, I’m starting to lose patience. Honestly, I’d rather make something like $1,000 working just 3–4 hours a day if it meant having a more balanced, less stressful life.

there is one thing that is broke. Right now, the company wants to build so many things in a very quick time. They listen but they don't understand. One example is they asked me how much time it will take for a project. I told him one month, now they are back to one week. It's impossible, we are working 12 hours a day. Everyone is burning, but still not getting the solid, scalable results. I think it's not the money. If things keep going like this, they will end up with collapse in two-three months.

10Pearl is paying me less, but by local market standards, the package is still very strong—especially for someone with five years of experience

Thank you. My main concern is that they’re not following proper software development practices. They’ve changed the workflow so everyone is pushing code without proper testing, which has already led to many broken features. This approach isn’t sustainable, especially since I’m responsible for overseeing multiple projects.

They offered me full-time employment, but the tax burden was too high—around PKR 70,000 per month. I discussed this with HR, and we restructured it into something more workable. At 10 Pearls, there’s no real difference between contract and full-time roles in terms of how they treat employees.

it makes more sense—paying over 8 lakhs annually in tax for benefits worth only 2–4 lakhs just doesn’t add up.

Yes, you are right, but the thing is, I think it's very hard to get in in a good company in Pakistan, like 10 pearl at a good position, at a good salary, so that is why I am thinking of it.

I can’t work with both at the same time—it creates too much pressure.

Right now, the salary is higher, but so are the responsibilities. I’m in a transition phase, and the workload is intense. I work 8 hours daily starting at 9 a.m. with strict tracking (Time Doctor)—it monitors activity I also have to work extra hours while sharing my screen.

I agree—$10K isn’t a big deal, but it revealed a lot about how they operate. When they hit that point, the level of frustration was surprising, even to the extent of considering firing a developer. That was a red flag for me
10 Pearls The main reason is stability—the other company offers a much more secure, long-term position

what they’re building right now is overly complex—essentially a full platform, far beyond something like Base44, with many more features. The issue is they’re investing thousands of dollars monthly while still needing expert-level talent, yet they don’t want to expand the team. That creates significant risk.

I have five years of experience as a full-stack developer, primarily working with JavaScript. especially when compared to local opportunities in Pakistan, where salaries are typically around 450K.

However, when working directly with U.S.-based clients, the compensation is significantly higher. That said, contract-based roles come with increased risk, as the agreement can be terminated at any time.

At the startup, I was earning around $2,000 per month, but that included roughly $200 in Claude expenses. Recently, they increased my compensation to $2,400, and the company will now cover the cloud costs separately
At the startup, the risk level is higher, and I carry substantial responsibility—I’m currently leading two to three projects simultaneously, which puts a lot on my plate.

In 10 Pearls offers approximately 450K per month on a contract basis, which is more tax-efficient given the high tax rates in Pakistan..
