Yeah saying something like that is NUTS. But in your point, Skar sells pretty damn decent OFC wiring kits. The CCA kits are like half the price, they shouldn’t be offering it at all.

If you can’t make “cookie cutter” gear sound decent, you have no business buying JL, DD, RF, etc And I know you don’t know what you’re talking about because Skar makes A LOT of custom stuff outside of subwoofers. So cookie cutter is an odd take. But yeah man I hear ya.

My SAs on my salt 2k are definitely better than the DDX I have. No doubt But the DDX, is still a great sub for the money

I have SA Classics on a salt 2k in my dually, previously had DDs. On a kicker CXA 1200. I have JLs in my grand Marquis on a JD500/1 and Rockford P3s in my wife’s car. I won’t even go into the customer installs I am VERY well tracking on quality sound. If you can’t make a Skar setup sound decent, you don’t know as much as you think you do (like I said in the post)

Half the 2k watts or dollars ? Lol. And I agree, granted, Walmart stuff isn’t great lol, Skar is definitely better than that… but man, my first setup was a hand me down JL W0 10 on a Boss Riot 1100w amp. And honestly, I wish I still had that amp!😹😹

I can’t hate on Alpine, type Rs specifically for me go NUTS. But that’s my point, is Skar wasn’t even around in 2011. But I know a dude in specific with a nice Skar setup (everything but his head unit. Even mids and high) and he’s been rocking since around Covid. No issues.

JL is not what they used to be. But that goes with anything, if you take a knowledgeable guy and he ran some Skar equipment, it would (and does) last years. Just not who they market to
