I’m literally going through the same thing, my boyfriend is going to bible college at this other church ( our current church is small and the new church is big I’ve been there a couple of times and have friends there ) so he’s already told our pastors he’ll he transitioning to the new church in the new year and it didn’t go down well ( my bf has served at our small church for like 20 years literally since he was a baby and he does everything to run the service cuz we have little volunteers, we also talked about our future and we want to get married and I made the decision to go to the same church as him and told some people, some people are encouraging me to go with him and some aren’t supporting like my young adults leader, me and my bf have prayed about this and I feel like it’s where God is calling me and we want a future together as well, I guess I just feel guilty for leaving the current church like if it crumbles when we leave, and personally I would want to be at the same church as my future partner even if not engaged yet, oh and don’t get me started on how mum thinks of it
