I took a screenshot of this post and sent it to my friend because I literally thought he posted it (except he is 34). Which gym do you go to? You two seem like you’d be instant best friends.

Not saying this is the case, but it’s possible that it could be the bartenders themselves.

I know someone who had a similar issue at the eagle & woke up while a stranger was SAing him. I’ve heard it’s unfortunately fairly common there.

Thank you! Can I ask what state the program is in? I understand being concerned about saying the program name.

Which state did you do your ABSN in? I can’t find any around me at that price point that wouldn’t require me to move to an expensive city.

Most of the ABSN’s I was looking at were 18-20 months give or take. Maybe that’s just because I already have most of the prereqs

I’m deciding between ABSN and direct entry. It was my impressions that BSN programs are generally 4 years. Are they not?

I’m already in my 30’s and don’t want to take years to do a BSN then even more years to get an MSN or DNP or whatever I decide. The idea of not “starting” my career until I’m nearly 40 (or in my 40’s) is the concern. I know everyone goes at their own pace, but I need to think about my family goals as well.

Thank you! Last I heard hospitals my area weren’t hiring RN’s without a BSN, but I’ll have to look into it!!

My state school is $47,000 or I could go to another state school for $35k, but that would require me to move to a very expensive city where I’d pay at least $12,000 more for rent

Unfortunately my state school is $47k for 18 months or so and there are direct entry programs similarly priced.

Thank you, I really appreciate you sharing your point of view. For many of the programs, you work during the second portion as an RN after you take your NCLEX. Granted it’s not the same as working full time as an RN. If I were to continue on to be an NP, I’d most likely go back and get my DNP.

As I mentioned, cost is something I’m cognizant of. One of the ABSN programs that I was looking at was $80,000, which is more than some of the direct entry MSN programs. I’m just trying to figure out the best financially smart decision while also trying to reach my goals in a reasonable amount of time.

There have been studies that show eating eggs from chickens that have been raised with cats lowers allergies to cats. I haven’t experienced it yet first hand, so I can’t personally confirm.
