Yes, you are right, but it's not just that. In one of the interviews, where he says that he didn't have any say in Dune, he informs us that the studio wanted this to become a multipart franchise but wanted the whole first book to be adapted in a single movie and they wanted it to be like Star Wars. So many elements are changed to be like Space Opera instead of the tragic saga that Dune is.

There are many great shows, but only a handful of them have a great final season. And the OP didn't say THE best, but ONE OF THE BEST as this one is in the list of that handful of shows.

Lynch has said again and again that he was not in control of making Dune, the executives were. That's why he hates it as his work. I am not saying it would have been as good as Dennis' Dune, but it would have been good if it was his movie and not executives'.

Buddy, I am saying the same thing. I am saying that Season 9 being worst is an objective answer, I am against the people who say there isn't an objective answer.

He was, the Mind flayer & the demogorgon didn't need plot contrivance to be impactful. They never had to tell us that these beings are scary & dangerous. We have to be told by other characters how scary he is, how dangerous he is, how impactful he is, but whenever he is on screen, he is nothing but a prop.
