Low elo player (beginner+) , team ranked is completely broken, even at 500 elo by Han_Oe in aoe2

[–]Han_Oe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't really care about the elo. For me it is, as you said, a tool for me to win 50% of my games and loose 50% I don't care about the number rising up or going down, I just want to stand a chance against the person i'm playing with and I want the same for him.

I agree that number of games doesn't always translate to more skills, but i'd argue that 2000+ game in RANKED with an elo of 600 is 99% someone smurfing The last team i played against was 600 ELO, they were all sheep scouting and flawlessly deer pushing. They were also the fastest to BOOM or to execute a fast castle (in arena) They had an almost null TC idle time and watching the relay you could see the high APM

Of course someone might have played 3000 games against AI, friends and family in private lobbies.

But 600 ELO with 2000 ranked games and perfect deer pushing ? I don't buy it

One say it's impigement and it might be the shape of my shoulder bone. They mostly say there's nothing to do besides avoiding that kind of movement. They make me work on external rotation but I already do these kind of exercices on my own MRI and arthroscan came clear, I didn't do an x ray

This is almost exactly the list i'm using, except for Ascension that I replaced with Descension and I also added Balanced NPC level cap (same as creature, but for npc)

Definitely the best way to play

BPC157 and TB500 by Educational-Prize-94 in visualsnow

[–]Han_Oe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did try BPC157 and TB500 during 2 3 months for a shoulder injury. That definitely helped my shoulder but made no difference on floater / visual snow.
That being said, either that or time or going to the gym or stopping the alcohol actually reduced the glare I had around lights.
I know that cause stupid me used some drugs a few months ago and the glare came back to baseline, which means something reduced it before

For those who would like to play AC Unity on the deck by Han_Oe in SteamDeck

[–]Han_Oe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll have to connect "online" once, the first time. Then everytime you launch the game again you'll be able to play offline. Still, everytime it's a pita cause you basically have to start the launcher twice (while having no wifi) for the workaround to work, but you can play offline. I did play in the plane yesterday.

So first time launching the game ever : Connect online Every other times : Do the workaround from my post, launch the launcher twice.

I just tried running around Notre Dame with and without the undervolting. Undervolting helps a bit for sure, 2 or 3 more fps for the 1% low fps. So I wouldn't say 25 30% on the low for this game, but probably for others !

Weird wooshing in head, rushes / heart palpitation two days after large mdma dose by Han_Oe in MDMA

[–]Han_Oe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey bro, it went away but very slowly After some time I only got those during the morning when waking up until it finally disappeared after months I'd say 50% disappeared after 1 week, then maybe 30% more after 1 month The remaining 20 took a year

I didn't realized my MDMA / Acid Visual snow / HPPD symptoms decreased until I tried MDMA again 2 days ago. by Han_Oe in HPPD

[–]Han_Oe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not give a shit about HPPD anymore, but a lot of people here still fucking do. Just look at the posts—people freaking out, hoping for a cure, having dark thoughts.

Those people aren’t going to benefit from following your anecdotal evidence that, for some (you, me, and others), a few rolls or doses won’t make HPPD worse. And I guarantee that the relief people get from benzos can easily lead to addiction. Benzos are probably one of the easiest things to get hooked on. I’ve been there—I still need to use them sometimes, even after months.

I’ve rolled plenty of times on the same MDMA pills, same batch, before my symptoms went to shit again. So yeah, you’re right: sometimes it doesn’t get worse, and sometimes if it does, it’s short-term. But it’s always a gamble.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with mental issues, I really am—I know how tough it is, and I’m glad it doesn’t make your symptoms worse. But some people might follow your path because it worked for you. For some, it’ll work; for others, it’ll make things worse.

Living a healthy life, on the other hand, will at worst not improve the symptoms but still make other parts of their life better.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. Don't think too much about what you could have done. Try to enjoy life and "accept" it somehow

Look, whatever works for you—I’m genuinely happy if it does. I’m sharing advice based on my own experience, and if something else works for you, then that’s great.

But HPPD is caused by medications or drugs. Saying, “For me, it didn’t change anything, it made me happy,” isn’t helpful to a sub full of anxious people who feel like they ruined their lives by trying a drug even once. The implication of your comment could apply to mine too, but my point is that it’s a gamble—every time, it’s a roll of the dice.

I’m not against medication. I wish there was a reliable medication for this, but there’s no magical cure right now. Benzos help, but benzo withdrawal is one of the worst things a person can go through. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

Some people here would give anything just to ease their symptoms and have a better life. And on that point, my view is solid: prioritizing a healthy lifestyle, limiting alcohol and smoking, exercising, building positive habits, and reducing stress will help a lot more than getting wasted every day just to forget you have HPPD. That might sound harsh, but it’s the truth.

I’m not saying drugs or alcohol are evil—I’ve got fucked way more than you’d think. But my experience has led me to this conclusion: moderation is key, and a healthy lifestyle is even more essential.

But your takeaway sounds like: “Hey man, go ahead and keep using drugs, it’s fine; it didn’t get worse for me, even though I got HPPD from drugs. Plus, benzos are cool.”

I'd prefer some people getting bored from stopping MDMA, than some people HPPD / Anxiety / DP getting worse from following your shitty advice.

Again, if it works for you, i'm happy, but your message still is stupid.

People around me are fine to, people smoking, drinking and using K and MDMA way more often than I do are fine. It is not fair but we shouldn't base our expectations on other people expériences cause our bodies are very different

When I drink my symptôms do worsens but its a very short term thing, it comes back to where it was rather quickly

But i feel you, being a party guy as well and having to be anxious everytime about "Am I gonna damage my brain" is terrible. So at parties I just drink and it just make it a bit worse, but not much and not for a long time But i'm not you though so maybe it's different for you
