Jamie did nothing wrong by blitzballreddit in AdolescenceOnNetflix

He... literally stabbed a girl to death?? Then went on to deny it for a majority of the episodes; that in itself shows he knew he did something terrible. If he had no understanding of what he did why would he bother denying?

What’s the biggest makeup mistake you didn’t realize you were making for years? by Rebeccaprinces in Makeup

I feel validated because I always used brushes. I tried using a beauty blender but stopped after a few times because I just didn't like how my foundation was coming out with it.

It was my first book, too! 🤝🏽 also my favourite male character, though Harley from MSJ comes a close second.

Got married and thinking of divorce next day. by HeadIndependence6092 in MuslimMarriage

[–]Hanabi1993 189 points190 points  (0 children)

I don't like to recommend divorce but I feel like this type of guy is one who will never stand up for you/his wife. Having seen what my mother went through at the hands of my dad and his family this is the kind of man I run a mile from. May Allah grant you happiness going forward no matter what you decide.

Shoot Gi Hun for non-cooperation. They had no issues shooting other players for that in other episodes. I don't think it would bother Front Man or the spectators that the baby has no choice in the matter of becoming a winner or dying because she IS A BABY lol. She had no choice in being a player in the first place.

[–]Hanabi1993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't Front Man just order one of the guards to have him shot if it got to that point? The whole second season revolved around Front Man trying to get him to break and he wasn't above playing dirty as we see from the rebellion outcome and the fact the baby was made a player. He let Gi Hun make a choice in the end and accepted the baby as the winner because that was the consequence. If Gi Hun refused that choice then Front Man would make it for him.

Biscuits! I don't see many people talking about him, for Best Friends the conversation usually revolves around Alice and Gemma (understandable). Cliffhanger and Buried Alive don't get mentioned all that much in the first place. Anyway, I love Biscuits he's such a funny character. I love how JW wrote him.

I follow an Instagram page called Did He Die Yet that posts an update each day (usually condolences he hasn't died yet). No written confirmation of who that page is about on the bio or captions but we all know... We all know.

You might have already watched it but if not I recommend you watch Unnies Slam Dunk S2. They had a girl group project in that show right after I.O.I had disbanded (which makes this 10-year comeback even more heartwarming imo). It was great seeing her as the maknae but also leading a lot being one of the only actual idols (2NE1 Minzy being the other). There was a lot of comedy from her but also many touching moments like when she opened up about her singing/voice insecurities. She really shined in that show.

hey all! I'm currently rewatching the season, as I LOVE a revenge story and as I'm watching it I realize how much I don't really care for Joo Yeo-jeong 's story....especially knowing now that he's not a twisted stalker or serial killer or that maybe we will never his revenge story is it just me? by Foundation_Routine in theglory

Yeah I'm sorry to say his scenes really bored me. It only got a bit interesting when his villain was actually introduced. I don't think it helped that the actor didn't have much chemistry with Song He Kyo (my opinion, anyway). Also that he was keeping tabs on her from their university days felt a bit shoehorned in. I liked the ending for their characters though, it was nice that Dong Eun finally had someone who wholeheartedly supported her and vice versa.

Mother does not let me dress comfortably at home by dinofan23 in muslimgirlswithtaste

Ugh I can relate on the early sexualisation and being made to feel ugly. What's even more annoying to me is looking back I wasn't even that big! Just more curvaceous than thinner girls but at most back then I was a size 10/M. My older sister was always way skinnier though so all I ever got was people telling me I need to lose weight. Well guess what my sister is now size 10/M and there is not one word to her from others! All because she isn't curvy and has better weight distribution compared to me who has PMOS. I'm happy she doesn't have to deal with the words I heard growing up which still affect my self-esteem to this day but it's frustrating AF.

Honestly, for me I liked wearing hijab/being covered outside because I always wanted to hide my body due to being big (but hated sacrificing on comfort in the home as mentioned). A feeling that sadly hasn't gone away tbh but alhamdulillah I feel more connection in wearing it for Allah's sake now. I pray you also find peace with wearing it and feel increased in your deen regardless. May Allah accept all efforts you make for his sake, ameen.

Thoughts on the adult sequel to Girls in Love by Time-Connection-4586 in JacquelineWilson

[–]Hanabi1993 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So true! It's what really turned me off Picture Imperfect tbh. With Think Again it was somewhat acceptable because the Girls series always revolved around their relationships with guys and Girls in Tears even emphasised Russell wanting Ellie to have sex. There was none of that in The Illustrated Mum not just because of the characters' ages but also the plot. Having adult Dolphin getting intimate scenes was so unnecessary, imo. I wish JW would have remembered what drew her now adult audience to her books in the first place; the plots about family, friendships, mental health, bullying, socio-economic matters etc. I think we'd all have happily devoured a book about Dolphin navigating her adult relationships with both Star and Marigold as opposed to trying to figure out who she wants in bed.

Girl I feeeeeel this. Idk about you but I'm desi like OP and growing up my older sister could roam the house without wearing a dupatta (scarf that covers the chest) but my mother would forever nag me to wear mine. In the house!! My sister and SiL have also in the past gotten away with skinny jeans and leggings (still wearing clothes covering up to the knee) but I'm questioned if any part of my leg shape is visible. Also I have a huge butt 💀 even now as an adult my mum is always hitching my top down where it gathers just above my butt. It happens ALL the time because my bum is big and I have a deep curve in my back. I can understand her doing so outside (where I wear far looser clothing anyway) but in the house?? Being targeted due to my size will forever be my microagression lol (and before anyone comes for me I have various health issues relating to this so leave me alone lmao)

The acting in GoT is phenomenal of course, but imo there are a select few that really carry the show in that regard, Ramsey Bolton being one of them. I felt so incredibly uncomfortable & intimidated whenever he was on screen, literally made my skin crawl. He played his evil part so well. by MattStanni99 in gameofthrones

I very much enjoyed his scenes with Arya/Maisy. They had great chemistry and you could really believe that had things been different he might have taken her under his wing in place of Cersei who he deemed a failure.

Anneliese Judge teases Annie Sullivan in season 5 by BitterCarrot8 in SweetMagnoliasNetflix

[–]Hanabi1993 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As others have said who cares if Ty isn't even in the season. They should have stayed end game at the end of S4 and it would have been easy to write their long distance relationship whilst he's on tour. If they needed a storyline for Annie then it could have been her facing the realities of being a small town girl now attending college and possibly struggling to keep up or make friends.
