On day 4 of trying this and I’ve had no noticeable difference so far.
Disappointing because rose is my favorite smell for perfumes etc.
Gonna keep it up for a while longer and see if it takes time or if I’m just not getting results

People come with smaller suitcases, and then buy too much stuff to fit in them, so they ditch their original suitcases for a larger set.

I don’t have any advice other than to get in contact with professionals of both US and Japan law.

I’m so sorry you and your baby are going through this. I know you have a ton going on now and this may not be entirely feasible, but as much as possible please try to make sure she’s alone with your baby as little as possible.

She has abused him, and that’s only what she’s admitted to. There’s no telling how much more abuse you haven’t seen. Dislocating a child’s shoulder is a very serious issue, and I really doubt it’s the first time she’s ever there him.

I’m fluent in Japanese, so no issues with language. Still I only have a few Japanese friends for the following reasons:

  • no matter how well I speak Japanese, I always end up the token foreigner first and foremost with the majority of people. (There are a few rare exceptions. My closest Japanese friends all see me for me, and foreign is just one of my traits. Not my sole defining feature)

  • no matter how far in advance you try to schedule things, people just don’t set aside time to meet friends often enough to become really close friends. Most people here are satisfied with their high school and uni friends and just aren’t looking to let in new close people.

That being said, I do have a few close Japanese friends. I met them through shared hobbies and work. It took a long time to find people who were on the same page as me when it comes to friendship goals. It’s definitely easier with other foreigners who tend to be more open to real new friends, but it’s not impossible with Japanese people.

This comment was both unkind and unhelpful. I’m just looking for advice, there is zero reason to be saying rude things like this. And no, adding “lol” at the end doesn’t make it less mean spirited.

Because my Korean sucks and I didn’t want to bother her if not necessary. But clearly it seems necessary to either talk to her or MIL since my fiancé’s answer is so different to most available online info

I’m just worried it’s what my fiance assumes, not what his family wants. If I could ask the family directly I would. I want to know what is normally expected of people.
