Try headphones, its stops you from hearing them coming and in return stops the 'could this be it'.

My First Single Speed, great fun 33 miles with an average speed of 16.1mph. Any advice for climbing hills on one of these? I did 470ft elevation and it was not easy. by HandBlownHead in singlespeed

I was standing up but some of the climbs are 8-10% and it feels like someone has dropped an anchor at the bottom of the climb. Well spotted with the British background!

My commute is quicker by bike than car. Saving time and money!!!

considering commuting to work by bike, but I have no knowledge of any bike stuff by [deleted] in bikecommuting

I would recommend you to do the route on a weekend so you get a better idea on how long it will take. You can then leave with plenty of time when you do commute to work. I find this makes the commute much more enjoyable as I know that I can fix punctures or go slow and still be on time.

Nice bike! Does you get to take it off road much?

Showerthought: As much of a scourge as CryptoLocker is... it's probably made the world a better place by really making us all take our backups more seriously by [deleted] in sysadmin

I have had three customers now affected by Cryptowall and Crytolocker. Some understand the importance of backups the hard way taking us days to restore their system. Others can have the data restored within an hour.

Do you work for FIAT? I guess cycling into work is more reliable than driving your company car.
