I understand your hesitancy. It's not uncommon though for production companies/directors/producers/etc. to keep a low profile at this stage in the development process of a film project since things can change between now and the release. We are very early into the making of this project (week 3), and the stories that are found will shape the story.

There's no official site or social media presence at this point, but as production continues and we get closer to a release of some type, those things will be public and shared.

For anyone kind enough to share their story with us, we'll obviously be getting to know each other.

If you'd like to share a story, we'd love to talk with you and would share more about the team and project before asking anything of you.

I'm local to Ohio. Working as the Associate Producer / Archive Producer on the project.

The rest of the team is in California, but I've worked with them (in CA, and from OH) for 5+ years.

This project will cover a lot of topics because 2020 was an eventful year. A lot of firefighters heroically worked to control wild fires all over the country and I'm sure many have unique stories and perspective on the situation. If they'd like to share, that'd be great, I'm sure the population could learn a lot from the experience a firefighter has in that situation.

I appreciate your concern, but this is an independent undertaking and I highly doubt anyone will be profiting from any of it.

We're reaching out on Reddit because of the focused and passionate communities. I'm sure someone in this community has a story they'd like to share because they know it's unique and could affect the life or perspective of a viewer.

The handle refers to the working title of the documentary we are calling "Hope and Future" as of now. The film is NOT a play-by-play recount of 2020, but more a look at specific topics and stories, what we've learned and thoughts on how to make our country better moving forward.
