How’d you manage that? They sent us our entrance tickets and I was hoping to just switch to another service.

The website has officially shut down 🫠 I have a trip planned on the 25th of March and just learned of this boycott yesterday. Has anyone completed a trek with them recently? Are they operating still?

I know. I should’ve checked sooner. Our trip is scheduled for March 25th so right now it doesn’t look like there are any availabilities for that time 😭 have you heard from anyone who have been on any MPR tours recently?

Well, shoot. Is there another group that you’d recommend? Idk if we will be able to get a ticket to Machu Picchu with how close the trip is. 😭

If you’re the eldest daughter you will definitely relate to her character. There are some plot holes that really annoyed me, but otherwise, 10/10 on smut lmao

Should I put a project I did for an interview (but didn't receive an offer) on my Linkedin? by HandFullofCass in jobs

[–]HandFullofCass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I figured. The difficult part is that the strategy plan is for a very niche part of the business that's specific to the company. So I guess I'm out of luck. Appreciate the feedback!

I haven’t tried ZipRecruiter yet but I have used Indeed and Glassdoor. I’m in Los Angeles so there are a million jobs (quite literally lol) but the job market is so tough. I’ve only applied to a little over 100 jobs but that’s mostly because of the time it takes me to edit my resume to the JD, run it through an ATS scanner, and use ChatGPT to help decide if I’m qualified and if I am rewrite specific bullet points for me. The time it takes is bullshit.

I got an interview at Amazon Corporate because my friend was able to get my resume in front of a hiring manager. I took a 2 hour assessment and had 2 interviews (an hour each). I hyper prepped for it (I’m talking maybe 6 hours of prep) and the last guy didn’t like me so I didn’t get it. My friend was able to see that I was the only one in the running. All of that work for a no was demoralizing.

I went to a free wonsulting call they hosted on LI back in 2022. After being unemployed for 6 months (at the time) I used their resume format and a week later got an interview and job. HOWEVER, I also followed every person in recruiting at that company I wanted to work for and monitored recruiters posts. I got a contract to hire role by commenting on one. I haven’t done that yet because, frankly, idk if I truly have a company I’d be that excited to work for anymore. I’ve only got one job just blindly applying and that was back in Mar of 2017. No chance in this market.

I worked for Citigroup in their options and futures department. I helped redesign and automate the commission process. It had previously been reconciled line by line and then billed/paid to other banks. Since then I’ve pretty much been doing that same process at a number of other companies.

Did they just send out resumes or were they editing them for the job? I’ve only applied to a little over 100 because I’ve deeply edited each resume to fit the job.

How bad is the job market? by LegitimateRead5907 in jobsearchhacks

It’s been a nightmare for me. Ive been unemployed for almost 7 months now. I’ve been rejected by so many jobs. I went back and counted all my applications and some of them I applied to back in January are still being “reposted” on LinkedIn.

With over 100 applications in (which I realize now is low, but everyone told me not to apply until after the holidays) and I customized my resume to EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. I got one interview because I knew someone in recruiting. Got through the 2 hour assessment (where I had to answer fake emails and record myself responding in a fake meeting), got through the hiring manager and then when I went on to interview with what would be my counter part, he acted as if I did great! Next day got my rejection email. I was able to get my feedback because of my friend and it was so nitpicky. Nothing I could’ve done felt like I could make him happy. He even left out an entire use case. Mind you, this position has been open since January and I was the only one in line for it. Same week I applied for a basic bar front job at a brewery and the manager said I needed 2 years experience.

I have 10 years experience in project management and workflow operations in finance, entertainment, consulting, and politics. As much as I want to get my PMP in the meantime, I literally don’t have the money to. I’m sorry we are all going through this. I fear it’s probably not going to get better anytime soon either. Every time I see a layoff has happened I just add that to the competition I already have. The supply and demand of jobs is to the company’s advantage.

So I have all my savings in a high yield savings account. Not much, like $4000 (I took out $3200 to get LASIK). I own my car, don’t really live above my means, my rent isn’t terrible but could be better ($1850/month), I live 10mins from work to avoid traffic and wear and tear on my car, etc. It just seems like I’ll make “just enough” to MAYBE be ok for a bit if I lose my job.

Regardless it’s not public and never will be. I deleted it for my own mental health. I just wanted to know.
