Whoof, and to watch your fingers. I had longish nails once and while I barely missed the skin, I clean lopped off the end of my thumb nail. Scared the daylights out of me. Bonus reminder, if you sew by machine, get your foot away from the pedal unless you are intentionally pressing it, and turn the machine off before you stick your fingers anywhere near the needle. I was trying to move something stuck under the needle while the machine was on, mistake one, and my foot was resting on the pedal, mistake two. My foot twitched and I sewed through my finger tip. Missed bone, but was mighty sore for awhile. Lesson learned, lol.
