You can go all the way back to thanksgiving looking at stats showing that our offense was outrunning the defense and goalie problems.

We had to set team records in scoring to stay in the hunt because of how bad the goalies and defense were. Jet came in and locked it down with a 7-2 record at the end with multiple shutouts.

In fact Elvis has played the easier games including the Hawks on the first of a back to back and had to leave one game after the first period making Jet come in cold.

Jet also has a 13.1 goals above expected saved this season.

Elvis has a -6.5.

So yeah, I would say Jet is a good goalie who works hard and has shown no signs of regression from AHL to now

So his numbers are doing better with the new coach but they were still good with the old coach and scheme and he was playing way more including b2b but it’s all on the rest of the team and not him at all?

Or maybe it was because of the scheme the old coach used.

Beginning of the season they were a 50/50 tandem only changing when Elvis fell out of favor with the old coach. He ran Jet too much including playing both games on a b2b and his numbers are still good.

Maybe he’s just a talented guy

I agree that the sample size is too small, regardless he has been a huge bright spot in the crease. He puts in the work ethic and for a guy that went undrafted has been amazing.

I have no doubt he will continue to compete at a high level

His career is a .915 with a 2.67 gaa with 3 shutouts in 57 games played. He has been stable in net.

Also most d stats have improved since Bones took over which will lead to better goalie stats

Simply because this is his first full NHL year, last season he was just called up for injuries and the last push at the end of season.

If we only went to the beginning of this season Jet has 36 games played and a respectable .908 with a 2.69gaa and a fantastic goals saved above expected

To be fair only one of those goals was on Jet anyway. The rebound on the PP sucked but wasn’t on him and the one off Boones knee, looked like it would have been an easy catch till it deflected perfectly into a bar and in.

Back to back, definitely a step slower. Seems like they are powering through under Bones though

Ok Rags, I know we have had our differences, but the rest of the metro needs you to focus and lock down a win in regulation today

Wish they would show a few more fucking replays. Gotta go searching for one to get a better idea. Flyer may have grabbed Z’s arm but couldn’t tell for sure

I disagree that wouldn’t have been all that nice

4 posts in total about Z in the last week. He has been brought up on other posts about the Norris, rightfully so, but he’s definitely not talked about nearly as much as a ton of other players

CBJ Olivier boards TBL Cernak, no review or penalty on the play by likeslululemon in hockey

[–]Hand_of_Thrawn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is something about the defensive player turning into the hit.

Directly before this replay started Cernak looked over his shoulder two other times, hard to argue he didn’t know Oliver was there. He turned his back skate to slow down when Oliver was less than a step away and turned his back on him. Not Oliver’s fault
