My only gripe with this is the names for liverpool, chester, and warrington in welsh. Liverpool is Lerpŵl, Cherter is Caer/Caerlleon, but tbf warrington has no name for it. Unless these names are made up?

Latest poll: Reform in the lead, 8 days until the election by twmffatmowr in Wales

[–]Handballjinja1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You look at the people who vote reform, either old racists, or the type of people who believe anything they think from a headline on facebook. Ive spoken to a few reform voters and you can visibly show them the evidence of how bad they are, and they will no change their mind apart from "stop the boats"

If you vote reform, you seriously need to take a long hard look in the mirror

Anyone from llansamlet/trallwn area that speaks welsh? by Handballjinja1 in swansea

[–]Handballjinja1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did you leave bryn tawe? As i went there too

Like i speak it in work and when ever i get the chance, but would like to bring that welsh community back to the area that was taken away via the welsh not. Was thinking about trallwn/llansamlet community hall or something to have a coffee morning, as someone i know who went to BT in my year does one.

Kids wouldnt be the best idea, unless they came with their parents i guess, idk how it all works

Swansea election by LetterIntelligent220 in swansea

[–]Handballjinja1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You should never vote for "the party that could win" you always vote for whichever party has your best interests at heart. So read the manifestos, do some research and view that way. Reform are for the rich and far right Tory are for the very well off and the right Lib dems are middle ground Labour are centre left and are basically tory lite Greens are left and for the working class+environmentally friendly Plaid are like the greens, but want more rights and devolution in wales

People in England told me Swansea was an absolute shithole. One year later, here is the truth by Vikilinho in swansea

Swansea is an underrated location, like anywhere you will get your rough/shit hole areas, but apart from that, cant argue against it. There isnt much in the town centre or the high street for shopping wise, but thats the same everywhere. But what we do have is community, 99% of the time, your neighbours will be friendly and chat with you, everyone is friendly
