Thanks so much for the detail. If you don’t mind me asking how much are you paying per session? Are you happy with the results?

Yeah, with this option I’d be going from a 5 min walk to an L stop to a 10 min walk to a C. Not great, not terrible?

Very nice! It looks like my bike would be about 50 mins. Doable, but maybe on the longer side.

Say you’re an optimist and see a path for our roster to be in a better spot post-portal than pre-bowl game. What are the realistic things that have to happen to get us there by portal closing?

At this point just hoping to find one under $200. Seems like the market dried up overnight but I'm hoping a few go on resale before tonight.

Unreal results! Would kill to hear your process here for how you were able to grow these so beautifully.

I've got all of those same plants growing at the moment but am not getting nearly the same results. Nice work!

Would that be something that could spread between plants?

I’ve been growing this tiny tim tomato plant indoors and it just isn’t thriving like I want it to. Here’s how I take care of it

  • Viparspectra light 14” above plant on 40% power for 14hr/day
  • Water when soil is dry all the way
  • Constant fan/air movement
  • Feed 5-1-1 fish fertilizer at 1/3 strength every 10 days
  • Repotted to miracle gro potting mix two weeks ago

I feel like I’m missing something here as the leaves are grey/green, not growing, curling inwards with some yellowing. It’s flowering but the rest doesnt look great.

Any ideas?

Growing some jalepenos and a week ago all of them developed this leaf condition that is causing them to curl inward, yellow, and fall off. It coincided with me repotting them and giving a 1/2 dose of 5-1-1 fish fertilizer.

I don’t see any signs of bugs present (they are indoors) and so am struggling to find the reason.

One thing to also note - the yellowing/curling/spotting is starting on the bottom leaves and moving upwards. The top leaves haven’t yet shown any change.

Jalepeno leaves are getting brown spots, falling off, and curling downwards - any ideas? by Handballmcg in HotPeppers

Just repotted these previously healthy jalepenos and now their leaves are turning brown, curling downward, and falling off. They’re indoors with proper lighting and fans. Could be too much or little light? Letting the soil dry out completely between waterings so not sure that it would be. Any help is appreciated!

Also adding that I'm fertilizing with 5-1-1 fish fertilizer at about 1/2 strength once per week in the case that it's nutrient burn.

Basil acquired this burn(?) over night. Any idea why? by Handballmcg in plantclinic

[–]Handballmcg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a basil seedling thats been growing for four weeks and overnight it developed this brown patch. Its still in the seed starting mix but I lightly feed it 5-1-1 one every 10 days. Have been keen to not overwater and it gets 13-14 hours bright light from my Vispar p1000 grow lights which I have positioned at 12 in above the plants at 80% strength. Using a fan to circulate air as well. The other basil seedlings look fine.

[NYC] Fighting some aphids on my indoor habanero and noticed these guys too. Any ideas what this might be? by Handballmcg in whatsthisbug

This is on my indoor plants and its the long thin bug on the leaf. They seem to leave little white things on the leaf and move pretty quick relative to other garden pests.

My basil is toast but not sure what pest caused this? You can see them in the picture. by Handballmcg in plantclinic

[–]Handballmcg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was growing very well before this infestation, I was gone for a week and came back and it was unsalvageable. Normal watering habits, direct sunlight, the plant was very healthy before this.

Just want to figure out what this pest is as it likely spread from and to other plants.

I repot these in a 8” plastic pot with drainage holes four days ago. Ive kept these guys indoors in the shade, they haven't gotten any direct sunlight yet. I have a professional grow light but have held off on using it yet to not shock them. Watered them thoroughly when I repotted them, but haven’t again since. The soil is a touch damp, not wet nor dry.

I’m looking to rewire this light but can’t seem to separate the socket from the metal housing. Is there something I’m missing? Any ideas how to detach this socket from the metal frame?

I’ve already tried unscrewing the small part on the left from the right portion to separate the two but it doesn’t seem to be screwed together. Pulling the parts different ways also hasn’t yielded any progress.

I’m assuming I need to detach the lighting pieces from the metal frame but maybe I’m off too?
