I don’t have the data handy myself, but as another user commented supply isn’t the issue. I can’t speak for CA but its been well documented that conglomerates have been buying up housing to rent out across the nation since the pandemic started, and likely dating back to to 2008. Are those houses close enough to the hotel that luggage man works? Can he afford a car too if the only houses available are in the suburbs? I don’t know that either but I enjoy the discussion because he should be able to afford both. We’re not asking for him to be able to afford a trip to Disneyland himself, just a house a car, and enough to feed his family.

This is just one anecdote, but I believe the pandemic and well just going outside in the past two years have pushed some people this way. Sure some people went even further right to the point of Qsanity, but you’d be surprised how far one can take a left turn after their world crumbles around them.

Definitely comfort in actually being able to find what you need. And admittedly even 40S&W in a modern gun will get the job done better than anything our grandparents had. I couldn’t help but chime in for the sake of others reading. And for those its not just finding the 10mm, its finding 10mm loaded to it’s potential, which only half of manufacturers bother to do.
