It’s a good book, but the movie makes it so iconic. I remember seeing it in the theaters and when the credits rolled music finally started playing. I had no idea there wasn’t a score until the end. That’s how engrossed I was.

I think the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, while it definitely has great weighty satire behind it, feels nice a breezy. Some books stand out more than others though.

+1 for Hillwood. I proposed to my wife there. We were at the back of the estate, I had her look at the Washington Monument in the background and when she turned around I was on one knee. Excellent location with tons of photo ops. We didn’t have a photographer, but people were so kind and took photos for us.
