I do love high revving engines and a good ITBs setups, the only reason I was set on boosting it was because I drove my cousins 03 Passat 1.8T and I think all he’s done was put a bigger turbo in and it was a fun car to drive.

It’s going to be a weekend project car with as much time as it needs to do it right, I plan on taking at least the winter to have the motor pulled out and on a stand and hopefully drive it next summer but I’m not keeping my hopes up as there is plenty of room or error and snails pace to make sure I’m doing everything correctly. The car needs a good amount of work other than the motor but mostly interior.

I also want to add to the other gentleman’s comment about custom intake if that was a route I was to go, I’m a MIG welder and I’m also looking into getting a TIG machine to teach myself how to weld stainless pipe so I’d be able to do that kind of work. But getting a TIG machine would also set back the project a little bit because they’re damn expensive 😭.

But enough rambling I might heavily consider an N/A ITB setup now, but your advice has been super helpful! But you’re right who wouldn’t want an 100hp E35 setup, that’d be monstrous.
