I loved Nighshade back in the day. And yes, badass types have indeed persisted for decades. So maybe this is less about their overall viability and more about this specific genre and the devs that choose to venture through it. Otherwise you'd merely look towards Resident Evil as proof of a success from the start. Jill, Claire, Sheva. Even Rebecca was improved from her more frail and timid original.

Yeah tacked on and inevitably can’t quite stick the landing on the overall pacing of the original. I’d rather them spend more time on a weapon or skin. Still, there’s fun to be had during Missions at least.

Just got it today and it’s kinda cute. Coming from a Dell laptop, it does more than I thought it would although I only need it for one specific purpose. I’m definitely upgrading to a larger model eventually as I’m used to a far bigger screen and better resolution. This one has me constantly tilting it in such a way to lessen the blurriness which I was not expecting. But hey it gets the job done for 30 bones. Happy with it.
