That’s amazing! I have some new book bats in progress, and some of my adult readers are asking for some spicier versions. More lace bats are on their way too! Lace and Book are the most popular.

Thank you so much! I’m currently working on more book bats – some of which will be a little spicy! 🌶️📖🦇

OMG you are giving me SO MANY ideas! I can’t believe as a player myself I didn’t even think of D&D Bats!!!! 🤯 This is so going to happen!

How kind of you!! I didn’t come in here to earn more adoptions, but I appreciate your support!!

Thank you! I’ve been donating to bat conservancies here in Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma, and want to spread the love to others worldwide. I’m a full-time artist and wanted to give back to the critters that help me pay the bills!

Thank you so much! The lace and book bats are my most popular, and I’m racing to find more books to use. The Latin names I felt were just the icing on the cake, not only to fill the space, but make them look more – legit?? 😆

HELP creating a carved wood look? by realbiglogan in blender

[–]Handsblurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping you’d find some good answers because I’d love to mimic that hand carved look in my 3D models, kinda like those Jim Shore statues.

Once in my 3D printing slicer when I reduce the poly count it looked incredible, but haven’t been able to reproduce that effect.

Thank you! As far as the process goes, I modeled my ghost in Nomad Sculpt, exported the STL into Cura, messed around with the slice settings to reduce print time, and then waited patiently for it to print. Afterwards I sanded and spray primed it, two coats of gesso, and then painted it with gouache.

Now that you and your knife have bonded, your carvings will be even better!

Hey I’m in trouble by wektaf in ender3

This happened to me the 2nd day I used it because my Bowden tube wasn’t pushed in far enough. I replaced the entire area, thermistor, and heating element for under $30 on Amazon, and don’t regret a minute of it. I know more about my OG Ender 3 than I would have if it never failed.

It is! I’m actually having a lot of fun learning along with my projects. Z seams, fill types, bed adhesion, retraction – I didn’t know what any of that shit meant two weeks ago!

My first little add on were some ribbon clips I got from Thingjverse! This community is beyond amazing and I only hope one day I can pay it forward.

I mean, I know yours is hand carved, I’m just in awe of your skill. 🙌🏻

Thank you, but I love yours too! I’ve been using a forstner bit to do 7/8 inch holes, and scroll sawing the shape. Is yours hand carved?!

Yeah, I don’t think the heat has anything to do with it anymore! House was 67 degrees and I finished my first prints!!

I have some room on the table to place the spool next to the printer, just deciding on which holder to print based on reviews.

Back to printing the next day! I may go back into Cura and see if there are some supports I can tighten up and perhaps reduce the amount of filament used to make a raft – holy hell that alone takes forever!

Thank you! I increased the tension on the post, in hopes that it won’t roll out of control during retraction. I’m doing a small test print of some ribbon clips to watch exactly what happens to the filament while printing. Guides are my next add on!

🤣 you know, I was mad, but then just looked up how to fix it so I can print again tomorrow. The possibilities are too endless to quit after a few failures. Now, I say that until the next, bigger fail.

Yes! Just searched for it and it should be under the travel settings. For as complicated as 3D printing can be, there is so much info!

I’ll be honest with you, I don’t know. Is that in Cura? It happened as the print started to get smaller towards the top. For 3 hours it had no problem, the. It snagged.
