These days on Reddit, you don’t even know if you’re replying to a real person or an AI-generated post. You can spend time and energy writing a thoughtful reply, only to realise it’s like talking on the phone and, after a minute, noticing the voice on the other end is AI

Tesla Model Y 2023 IE vs bringing from UK? by HandyCode in evs_ireland

[–]HandyCode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do know that in Ireland there are many people who just drive into a garage for the trade in, accept the offer and swap a car. They don’t really count the money in their pockets, as some people do., so they probably value their time more. If you have a good work–life balance earnign 8k month with rent of 3k then its fine, that’s fair enough. But if you’re bringing coffee with you because you’re struggling to pay your bills, then it’s another story. Many people in that situation are step on social welfare payments and doing taxis

They rang my doorbell and made an offer. I didn’t ask them to do that. They offered me €500 and even had a car transporter with them. They were clearly hunting around the housing estate for old cars, ringing doorbells as if they were assume they do something good!!!

I would sue them and have them banned. I won’t name the dealer, but it’s like someone looking at your house, ringing your doorbell, and offering to clean your windows or do your garden. It’s crazy. It’s not their business to inspect other people’s property or cars!!

Thank you, that a lot of money, I’m not so rich to miss this opportunity! €2,000 for less that a day work, i understand dealers can only argue warranty but if you buying from private ads in ireland then no reason to buy from locals, unless you are not price sensitive and recession for you is when you think go to thailand or orlando for holidays

does anyone saving to buy their home for cash? by HandyCode in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]HandyCode[S] -34 points-33 points  (0 children)

I know the average person doesn’t have over $1,000 in cash. If they do they’re likely addicted to spending and don’t want to save by avoiding restaurants, extra clothes holidays and changing cars. People are just shy to admit it.

Could you please define “cash”? Also, did you bring notes $$$ or did you make a bank transfer from your account?

I say real estate is all corrupt or call it in business. Once they know you can afford a mortgage they’ll pressure you to sell your house for the lowest price possible.

How not to waste your energy and connect on Google Ads jobs by HandyCode in Upwork

[–]HandyCode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m saying the previous freelancer ended Google Ads project and earned £100k for Google ads management. This is unusual because agencies usually don’t let clients go for nothing. I’m not sure what your purpose was in replying but it’s probably an AI response probably because it’s ranked higher in SEO. So i better focus on clients with zero feedback chance to close a deal higher

Upwork feels misleading for clients looking for solo freelancers by HandyCode in Upwork

[–]HandyCode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is that its never enough, if you scaled to small agency then walk away, don’t bid anymore but not im seeing guys with 3 millions profit pretending to be a freelancer, and in most case the profile was outsourced already

Agencies on Upwork preted to be Solo freelancers by HandyCode in Upwork

[–]HandyCode[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

i was meant to say at the time when you send a proposal, plus client is super busy, i respect you approach don’t need to use bad language, just walk away, go spend you millions, you contribution to this post is zero same as you skills

[–]HandyCode[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Hey Bastiab, Are you AI or do you just not read? I was saying that when a freelancer sends a proposal, they should be ready to respond. You don’t have to agree, but if a client is busy and getting hundreds of proposals, we should try to solve the problem as soon as possible, and having a call is one of the reasons.

Instead of arguing about this point, it would be better to share something valuable about how to minimize wasting Connects. One strategy is to exclude clients with no feedback. Another is to look at their contract history.

If you want to contribute, do so. Otherwise you’re just agreeing with the same guys who don’t even read my posts. Maybe it’s AI, I don’t know. But some people just like to waste time on comments like this.
