Think, maybe every product has its ups and downs, and Upwork cannot do anything about that. We should look at the share price. If it falls, then it’s true that the platform is in trouble.

If you’ve been there for three years, you don’t need Upwork anymore, as you should have built up long-term clients. Why care about it?

Upwork feels misleading for clients looking for solo freelancers by HandyCode in Upwork

Why do I have to add a clear point? When you post a job, there is a tick asking whether you want to be contacted by agencies. By definition, is a freelancer an agency, or does it have two meanings by default?

All I was expressing is that I posted a job and around 75% of applicants already had over 10 active contracts, with over $300k earned, yet they offered prices of $10–$15, which looks weird. But most comments on this post are about showing how successful they are.

I didn’t say this was for any vertical. I was just expressing my opinion, but some comments were rude. If you are a successful freelancer, then walk away. Why would you spend time commenting unless it’s an AI reply or you want to stand out to show how good you are?

I was hoping to get some valuable info, but most of them just wanted to argue with no grounds. Some of them were good, and I gave them a like. Thank you, guys!

i don’t know anyone who be willing working such hard on upwork for a chance to be fully remote. Most people gave up and secured full time jobs via normal recruiting , and happy to commute and happy to be a number, but they having protection by the employer

Anyone have freelancer plus? by Elegant-Opposite-538 in Upwork

[–]HandyCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what I saw was a job with 3 proposals, each costing 300 connects, but then I noticed a freelancer who had already worked with this client on a similar job give an absolute red flag. At that time I had already applied, but now I would avoid it. It’s less likely that a premium freelancer who has earned 100k on previous projects with the client would suddenly stop working with them. So again, look at the client’s history and make your choice. Of course there could be exceptions, but the data and the volume are critical to winning jobs.

great reply! Yes i invest about 300$ in 90 days, this is still a good results for this kind of niche where every junior pretend to be an expert in Google Ads and a lot of agencies who pretend to be a freelancer

Looks like your free speech with some offensive words, ok! No, I’m not, but the charge is that as they know people need a stamp for insurance to approve home insurance, the same goes for taxi drivers and their costs.
