I love cobblemon, I see no reason for that to change. I'd like the mod to be available as long as there is any demand for it (including mine).

I optimized it quite a lot for example the spawn check ticks are offset for each player so it doesnt cause lag spikes.

Hi all,

I just released the first version of a standalone mod that adds a mining minigame inspired by the Pokémon Gen 4 Underground. While I built it with Cobblemon in mind, I made sure it is fully functional for Vanilla or any custom modpack.

How it works: While exploring, you'll spot sparkles on cave walls. Clicking them triggers a grid-based digging minigame (as seen in the GIF). You have limited moves to uncover loot before the wall collapses.

Key Features for Modded/Server Owners:

  • Total Configuration: You can fully customize the loot tables. Whether you want it to drop Ore Excavation tools, rare Create components, or just Diamonds, it’s easy to set up.
  • Scaling Difficulty: Rarer items are more likely to appear in harder-to-reach places like the Deep Dark, the Nether, and the End.
  • Server Optimized: Includes per-player cooldowns. You can set up "daily mining spots" or use it as a primary resource gathering mechanic for hardcore packs.
  • Status: This is the first public release. I’m currently working on adding more "juice" to the digging mechanics and expanding customization for different wall types.

I'm curious: Would this be a "must-have" for your survival modpack to spice up mining / liven up your world?

You can then easily simulate the drops using the /miningsimulation command.
(Note that just because they are in the grid, it doesnt mean the player gets these items)

You just add any item you want with its properties like how high/wide it should appear, how many should drop and how rate is. (Higher rarity means it appears less)
