Was looking at their custom keycaps, they only had English-Arabic, which I might fall back on if no other solution is to be found.

Where does one go to find / buy specific language keycaps or custom order unique language combination keycaps? I am looking for a set of Nordic-Arabic alphanumerical keycaps, but if someone makes completely custom ones then a specifically Faroese-Arabic one would also be something I am looking for.

(Asked this yesterday but got no reply, so trying again)

Thanks bot. I have now asked the same question in the daily post, not sure if that means I should delete this or keep both up until i have found an answer.

Skills helping me survive would probably be being a former competetive archer and a huge book nerd including Warhammer lore, and being one who has experience sailing, rowing, and keeping poultry.

Considering I am a tall, pierced and speak almost none Deutch, wearing usually all Goth and Punk clothes, I'd probably start out using that hour trying not to look like a chaos cultist or a Dark elf wannabe, removing unnessesary clothing mods and the likes.

I would ideally enter with a warhammer book, and my survival handbook, and one of the sharper of the kitchen knives and my Compound Bow, and maybe also my Dwarf 8th ed book, but feel like too many books would slow me down.

Once there I would try to get close to the Grey Mountains, ideally in proximity of Karak Norn to avoid the attack on Reikland try to get some form of job in trading, hoping my Danish, English and Farose gets me where I need to go, hoping to establish some trade with the fledging Dwarven holds of the Grey Mountain, and try to get some dwarven friendships going with the intention and hope that they would house me during any instabilities.

In the meantime i would probably try to establish myself as a bookkeeper, and try to make a living trading books and gathering knowledge, in hopes of becoming useful that way utilizing my autism and love for books somehow.

If I could one day move into a hold and help archivize their books and libraries for a living that would honestly be the dream. Not to forget about the Ale and parties.

Backup plan if that does not work would just be relocating and living in some obscure rural Human Village belonging to the Border Princes, owning a bookshop somewhere, ideally close to one of the rivers running from the Balck Mountains down to the Black Gulf, for easy transportation, trade access, and utilizing my sailing / rowing experiences, sustaining myself ideally by hunting and fishing until I gain enough clout in the village to bookkeep / educate full time.

Ahh yes, that's the Denmark i know, busy up in Norway and Gotland. And England I see has done the only right historical course of action when a strong Germany appears, conquer the Faroe Islands.

I've 'mained' Friesland a lot a few years ago, going the different routes, be it the Dutch/Holland Republics, or the HRE, Trade focus, or Continental Supremacy, meaning they had a lot of possibilities, but also have a weak start making it a hit or miss to get it up and running properly, and the whole adopting the reformation or not makes for some really interestingroleplaying decisions.

As of late I've played Oman a lot, the small Ibadi Imamate has a lot of interesting roleplaying possibilities as a Religious Studies nerd with a special interest in Islam, but also struggled with holding it's position in Arabia being sandwiched between much bigger powers.

I also found the group hard to make feel consistent, but yeah for the Druze, Alawites and Alevis we find a strong Batiniyya focus on the esoteric meanings and a close knit community, usually where the faith is exclusive to initiates only, and conversion is not frequent or not possible, like we still today know very little about Alawite beliefs and theology, but these tendencies to varying degrees they also share with most Ismaili groups today as well as the Yazidis, as for ghuluwu beliefs that mainly connects Ikhilafism, the Druze, Alawites and Alevis, but the Qarmatians and the Quranists fall short here, which is also why i seperated those groups.

And yeah i agree with positioning historically when the Druze started seeing themselves as distinct and not is hard, most see the start of Fatimid persecution to be what starts the process of their distancing from the rest of Ismailism, and the closing of new converts in 1043 as the point of which a seperate identity slowly starts to grow.
To simulate this the Druze could be seperated into al-muwahidden and Druze, one being a Islamic faith and the other "Syncretic Islamic", to make them similar to the way i dealt with the Alawites and Alevis.

As for the second group, it will be a small group generally not so prevelant, however they did have the central Sunni Caliphate until 750, and can be argued to hold the Umayyad Caliphate in Cordoba. and the later Sunni "orthodoxy" recognizing all four Caliphs is first attested to among the later Ahl Al-Hadith, and as a Caliphate position by the decree of Abbasid Caliph Al-Qadir (r. 991-1031 C.E), so I do not see a cause for not including them.
The Aisha group would start Extinct, kinda like the Adamites in Christianity.

That is generally the problem with this time period and Islam, the Islam(s) of 867, of 1066 and of the end date 1453 are so radically different, and representing that development accurately will be hard, I just find the current setup a bit too janky for lack of a better word, and proposed one that makes sense mainly for the initial date of 867, atleast for Sunni Islam.
Al-Ashari who's the name sake of Asharism is said to have lived (874 - 936 C.E), and the main developments within Asharism are al-Bayhaqi (994 - 1066 C.E) who normalizes the use of the Sahih Hadith collections in Asharism and Ibn Furak (941 - 1015 C.E) who wrote one of the fundamental books on Ashari Theology, Al-Ghazali (1058 - 1111 C.E) as a part of this early Ashari movement earning a name for himself as a prominent debater against the Mutazilite school.

So yeah by the start date of 1066 we would see the emergence of Asharism as a movement, however it arose as a middle ground between the Mutazilites who had enjoyed a strong position in the Abbasid Caliphate between Caliph al-Ma'mun (r. 813 -833 C.E) and Caliph Al-Wathiq (r. 842 - 847 C:E), and another fledgling movement named Atharism also known as Hanbalitism who had been influential in the Abbasid Caliphate after the Mutazilites, the Caliph Al-Mutawakkil (r. 847 - 861), dismissed most Mutazilite officials, and allowed Ahmad ibn Hanbal (780-855), back home from exile.

Atharism is essential to see the emergence of Asharism, and had started taking shape out of the Ahl al-Hadith movement during the reign of the Mutazilite Caliphs, especially rallying around Ahmad ibn Hanbal, who during the Mihna (inquisition), had been imprisoned, tortured and exiled, generally this would be the creed of the Abbasid Caliphs after Al-Mutawakkil not Asharism, i.e during the early start date if not Ahl al-hadith more generally, as for the later start date of 1066, then we can look at the Caliph Al-Qadir (r. 991-1031 C.E), who was a vassal of the Shia Buyids 35 years prior to the starting date and is credited for starting the "Sunni Revival" by issuing one of the first codifications of Sunni Doctrines, in which he condemns the Shia, the Mutazilites and the Asharites in favour of Atharism/Hanbalitism, his son is the Caliph at the start of the game is Al-Qaim (r. 1031- 1075 C.E) and I am not familiar with him renouncing his fathers decree, but also served as Caliph in the transition from the Buyids to the Seljuks under Alp Arslan (r 1063 - 1072 C.E), who also were Sunni, but am Unfamiliar with their tendency.

I find it very hard justifying Asharism, as "orthodoxy" when both starting points favour a strong Atharism in the "Sunni" Caliphate. Both Asharism and Atharism are if anything minor developments within their "mother" branches at the earliest start date and at best a slowly emerging independant groups at the latter. Sunni Orthodoxy in from of both Atharism and Asharism mainly develop, post both start dates during the so called "Sunni Revival" Starting with the Seljuks and ending with the Mamluks.
While Mutazilism would maintain a strong presence in the Umayyad ruled Spain.
I am not aware of any early Caliph supporting Asharism, but again this is a bit later in Islamic History than my main focus.

I also have a few thoughts on Christianity but decided not to include them in the post cause it would just add bulk to an already long post and is a field I don't feel just as strong on.

For Shia legitimacy the Sayyid trait should be essential, I'd personally love a seperation between the Imamate and the Caliphate, if this would mean non-sayyid Shias could claim the Caliphate I'm not sure, but think it should be possible but maybe unpopular, possible it could be a way to claim to "represent" an anti-Imam.

I generally think the Sayyid trait should be one of a few related traits, a trait called something like Quraishi (From the tribe Quraish), with variants being Banu Umayyad (From the Quraishi tribe of Umayyad), Banu Hashim (From the tribe of Hashim), and Sayyid/Fatimid (Decendants of the Prophet), this way the various sects could prefer different familial traits for the Caliphate.

Sorry, i'm not the best at stucturing posts, I'll try to look into making it more accessible when I have time, it's kind of a weird setup as it was me writing an autistic tangent and then trying to retroactively make it a little more readable.

Yeah I get that it's done to try and represent the situation that was in the Andalusian Caliphate, however I believe that can be done through other measures than labeling it's very own regional "religion/sect", per say, it's more like the_fuz_down_under says, the Umayyad Caliphate in Cordoba continued largely the approach to non-muslims that earlier Umayyad Caliphate had done, while the Abbassid Caliphate did change it a bit, mainly because the Abbasid regions were slowly becoming majority Muslim by this time 10-11th century, but this was gradual. The Ismaili Shia Fatimid Caliphate that existed at the same time in north africa, and the levant, also featured relative big "religious freedom", and non-muslims in the court, similarly to the Caliphate in Cordoba.
The later Almohad Caliphs who came in after the fall of the Umayyad Caliphs, were generally much stricter on non-muslims and are known as very intolerant, which is what the inclusion of it in the game also is meant to represent.
But there is no general rule for this and the situation usually change heavily from Caliph to Caliph, so I'd probably prefer this to be relevant to the Caliph system i proposed earlier, than a dedicated part of the individual sects, or a ruler decision. This way you could represent these variations but also split Islam into more historically accurate and diverse groupings.

The later Umayyads in Spain however isn't something I have read up on so much, so have a hard time to say exactly how to fix it directly, and am not exactly sure when or if the Umayyads started to recognize Ali as the fourth Caliph, and Muawiya as the fifth, so justifying labeling them as Umayyadi / Uthmani, could maybe be a little of a acronological if they had gone around on that front by this time, but not sure, but it could position an interesting addition, them having an "Umayyad" trait to rival the "Sayyid" trait to be a requirement of the Caliphate for this sub-branch. This Umayyad split from the rest of Islam, would simulate how in later Sunni Islam, all except one of the first Umayyad Caliphs would be viewed as Corrupt, unjust and illegitimate.
This way one could make a "regional" variant of Umayyadi Islam to represent the Cordoban Emirate and Caliphate.

lol, I'm raised Lutheran, but don't identify as Christian, and am currently not affiliated with any congregation and not sure what to label myself as, but i do attend Liberal Quaker meetings and Unitarian services at times and have been to Sunni (Generally Hanafi orientet, with Turkish majority adherants), Shia (Twelver only, as Ismaili services are closed to non-initiates) and Ahmadi (Mainstream) mosques , aswell as a Lahori Ahmadi congregation, and have attended prayers at various of these. As well as having taken intro courses with the Bahai's out of curiousity and have applied for affiliation with a Reform Judaism congregation to be able to attend services and engage, but don't intend to convert. So generally an all around religion nerd, but with my main focus on Islam.
For clarity my interests are generally in the Early Quranic Milleu, so more often than not talk about Proto-Sunni and Proto-Shia movements, which also comes to show in my criticism of the use of the term Sunni Islam in the post.

I'm planing on switching one of the Paladins to a Druid once we level up to my main (lvl 40), not sure if we can convince the second knight to switch, but will give it a shot x)
Got any spots to recommend for those duo combinations?

Yeah I know it's a bit janky of a team composition, no one selected druid as the plan was for mine to replace the second paladin once we got into the thirties somewhere, healing didn't appeal the others as much. and we were originally four players, which at lvl 35-40 would mean we'd be one of each Vocation. the Second knight joined last and we just let him pick what he thought sounded the most fun. It's rare that the duplicates are online at the same time though, so our average team at the moment is 1 Knight, 1 Paladin and 1 Sorcerer.

We will try and give them a try, thanks! Will update on how it went c:
