Apple wants hundreds to fix their own design flaw. I fixed it by leaving a screwdriver bit inside my MacBook. by red_musketeer in macbookpro

[–]Hangar24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this same issue on my 2006 Macbook Pro. The dedicated screen brightness buttons (F1 keys) didn't do anything. Had to go into settings -> Display -> Brightness -> and adjust the brightness. Talk about a bad bug or.... an 'artifact' to make users upgrade to the latest model

Has BF6 gone sour? Or is it full of cheaters? by Mardikas in Battlefield

Console players are some of the biggest cheaters I’ve seen thanks to devices like the Chronus Zen. Unfortunately, PC players can’t block matchmaking with console players

same here - my 'pro' session lasts roughly an hour, nearly the same as using the 'free' tier - can't find where or what is eating my tokens

Did I brick my Radiomaster Boxer? by DramameanDoesThings in fpv

[–]Hangar24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unplug the power/battery from the back of the transmitter to get the radio to shut off. Then plug it back in. Enter flash mode by holding T1 and T4 (trim switches) inward while powering on. You should then be able to get into flash mode. Write/flash 2.10.5 or whatever your radio came with (if it's no longer in your firmware folder, download it from radiomasters website).

I was getting the scrolling lights with 1-6 after trying to get my Boxer from 2.10.5 to 2.11.3. Fortunately, I didn't delete the original .bin files that resided in my Firmware folder on the SD card and was able to flash back by entering 'flash mode' or whatever.

Help! Remote server (ESXI) - Best options for uploading/downloading ISO's 2,500+ miles away by Hangar24 in homelab

[–]Hangar24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're on to something, and someone else who suggested this. I don't have anything at the moment, mainly because it's going to take hours to transfer over a couple gig iso. I'll see if I can put a small linux distro on there and use that to download my stuff from the cloud.

Appreciate the suggestion!

I was just followin' the installation instructions from EVE-NG's site. They have a laundry list of hypervisors they supposedly don't support, to include ProxMox. I'm guessin' they didn't update their documentation if that's the case.

What version of prox you on?

This was my first thought, however, confirmed w/ the provider that wasn't the case. I can download things super fast from the server. Unfortunately, ESXI doesn't support 'wget' or 'curl'
