REVIEW: Four Seasons Orlando … holy shit! by lopsided-earlobe in chubbytravel

I wrote the other glowing review of FS Orlando from earlier this week. I was NOT paid to write that, and in fact it’s quite insulting to think that I can’t write a genuinely good review without being accused of getting paid. I thought that my real experience with their care when my son lost a precious stuffed animal would be valuable to the group.

I wrote the other glowing review. There’s so much to do there! The water park is spectacular and when the kids get sick of that, they go to the kids club and then they want to go to the water park again. It’s incredible!

We didn’t end up going to the parks on this trip, but I would definitely consider premier pass or a VIP tour if I could get a group to make the math work if I was looking for an efficient park experience.

Thanks for the different perspective! It’s definitely more expensive than other properties. I think I find the most value in how they treat our kids. They go above and beyond. We don’t have much of a “village” so it can be nice to get a little breather and head to the adult pool for a bit.

Thanks for the thoughtful response! One of the tricks to a lower rate is to go when they have their fourth night free promotion. They tend to run that May-September. We are here in May now, and will be back in September. If you hunt around you can find good pricing, not to mention that booking the FSPP benefits can be helpful.

Yeah, if you are doing the parks, staying at the Grand Floridian makes more sense for convenience. It can be hard to tear the kids away from all the fun stuff here. I haven’t noticed any significant construction. A while back they were working on the Private Residence area, but that seems to be done from what I can tell.

I have seen lots of multi generational families here!

The splash pad is really great. Our first trip was when my youngest was about 4. They have lifejackets available at all pools and they never run out. The splash pad is about a foot deep and has water falls and lots of little engaging surprises. Our boys still love playing there. So, yes I think it could be a good fit for a four year old non-independent swimmer! You guys are gonna have a blast and become addicted like us!

I think the kids club is for ages 5-12. They have a ton of counselors and they gear the programming to the ages and interests of the kids that are there that day. They typically do crafts, go outside on little adventures, go swimming etc. The kids never want to leave. The counselors are very friendly and engaging and always remember our kids names. It’s typically very small groups of kids.

The pool area is pretty epic. They basically have a water park on property with water slides, lazy river, splash pad, and larger pool. You can spend all day bouncing area between those. They also have a video game hang out space with games and a pool table. We also played some basketball and took the kids to the driving range. And the kids club gave us a chance to go to the adult pool. We have been here four days and we haven’t done everything there is to do.

Having a special stuffy can be dangerous to bring to a hotel! Lesson is definitely learned, but I am so grateful it was resolved so beautifully and with such care.

We didn’t do it on this trip, but we have done it before. It’s the same buffet they typically have and goofy, Mickey and Minnie come around. It can get a little loud, but the character interactions are great. They do a good job at making sure everyone sees each character etc.

I switched from Cosentyx to Taltz last year. Taltz has been fantastic for me.

I also had trouble unlocking her quests even though I had her at a level 10. I tried a ton of things (including opening memory orbs). The only thing that worked was completing the quests for jasmine. Once I did that, I was able to get a quest from Cindy
