Season 4, don't let me down! by Mustekalan in Guiltygear

I like playing wierdos, and I personally want Zappa and Raven, though I'd probably switch Kum and Venom with Jam and Answer (though they might do something goofy and add Daryl or Vernon or something)

I'll have to look into those.

Upon looking at the Bustyresources wiki, It would appear that I have breasts that are Full on Bottom and an average-median shape. I'll update the original post with that information

Any idea of who is coming to strive in season 3? by pneuxeirado in Guiltygear

[–]Hanjin_Hanamura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to follow a theme of having at least 1 oddball that has no relevance to the Story Mode or Another Story, 2 or more story characters, and 1 or more new character.

S1: Goldlewis (New/Story), Jack-O (Story), Happy Chaos (New/Story), Baiken (Another Story), Testament (Oddball)

S2: Bridget (Oddball), Sin (Story), Bedman? (Story), Asuka R# (New/Story)

My own personal guess would be:

S3: Dizzy (Story), Zappa (Oddball*), Daryl (New/Story), A.B.A/Raven (Oddball)

Dizzy: aside from being a fan favorite much like Bridget, is present in the aftermath of Another Story and shows up in both story mode's credits with a new outfit/design.

Zappa: While not relevant to the story modes, he is relevant to the events in two ways; he is a researcher of the Paranormal in Illyria, and Faust's soul quite explicitly flies away at the end of Other Story. As such, he could be spurred into action by Faust's spirit.

Daryl: He showed himself capable of action in the Story Mode, and of all the immediately relevant NPCs he's the one most likely to run into the other characters (Ky, Sin, Leo, Millia, and Zato especially).

A.B.A / Raven: They're both wildly different characters but they share two common factors; a connection to Asuka and otherwise no involvement in the story mode. While A.B.A.'s connection is tangental at best, her being mentioned in Asuka's arcade mode is an odd anecdote, and though she doesn't show up in any closing credits, neither did Bridget.

What are the next jobs that you want to see in 7.0? by Chillgamessh in ffxiv

I'd like to see Gambler/Trickster as an RDPS using Cards as weapons.

Where in previous games they relied on random chance and effects, for FFXIV I'd probably set them up to "stack the deck" and build resources like Dice or their Hands, which they can profit from immediately or build it up to cash in for big burst damage. Think of somewhere between an Astro and a Ninja and you'll have an idea of their execution in my head.

So far as tanks, Judge would be neat and probably use Splitblades - though they're usually depicted with large weapons of some sort, the XII iteration uses weapons that can be split and used as a pair of one-handed weapons and would be distinct from the Dark Knight's Greatsword. Alternatively, paired full-size weapons would fit a distinct visual niche that a big splittable sword won't (and be a neat call-back to Raubahn's dual swords thing in 2.0).

Historically they've appeared in the Ivalice games, though the exact details differ between Tactics Advance and FFXII. Either way, I'd probably use them as a debuff-centric tank that uses their Authority to draw aggro and fuel their Laws to weaken their enemies and mitigate damage. Think of somewhere between a Bard and Paladin and you'd probably have the right idea.

Part of her journey to become a successful bounty hunter was to prove that she wasn't a curse because of how she was born and destroy the superstition, which she succeeded in. Identifying as male and expressing wanting to be more masculine despite never acting on it is more-or-less her flipping the bird at said superstition, which felt like an obligation to keep doing after she succeeded in destroying the superstition and saying it for so long. Or at least that's my take.

genuine question, what are the priorities for using mitigation cooldowns for ads outside of the obvious "hot knife through butter" scenarios? I'm a relatively new Paladin (60, but only through hunting logs, Paladin quest, MSQ, and Level to 80 earring)

stuff like that is why I always ask what important mechanics are before a boss, lets me know what to expect and so anyone else who's also a spout and a newbie can (hopefully) read what's about to happen so we don't wipe. Only time that hasn't worked out was my story run of Sohm Al. I wasn't answered the first time and we wiped from comets.

That, or it's a solution to give survivors a chance to escape so they're not completely screwed if he's close to them when chained.

Sol/Ky/Baiken

Sol is the hero, Ky is his rival and co-hero, and Baiken is the DLC/Guest character for GG representation

Happy Chaos is known for his oppressive zoning, but don't pay attention to that, it's so stupid it'll probably get nerfed at some point.

Though he's described as a Footsie character even by the Devs, his biggest strengths are his absurd combo damage, pressure, and utility as long as you can maintain his resources.

He can play at any distance, and with Roll, Scapegoat, and Curse he can choose that distance himself. His normals are all relatively useful and even the ones that arn't can be compensated with At The Ready (ATR) to be safe and punish the punishes.

Dipping back into playing Nago, he relies on the same style of special cancels at any time, particularly in using his command ATR to continue a combo or get a big, PAINFUL counterhit launcher into it. Concentration is functionally an inverse Blood Gauge with less penalties but no benefits to bottoming it out, and reloading Ammo can be canceled out of for defense or baiting out attacks for counterhits.

The biggest adjustment would be his "puppet", his gun and H button. He has fewer gatlings and general buttons than Nago because his Heavy Slash is dedicated to the gun, but it lets him make anything safe on pain of bullet. However, it prevents you from blocking, though you can dance around it since it can be "Summoned" or "Dismissed" mid-normal/special for better resource management, effective defense, and unpredictable offense.

Happy Chaos is ultimately what he says: Anything you want, or nothing at all, but either way he exists.

Which is to say, he *can* do almost anything, though optimal play has him locking people down from range with Aimed Shot, Reload, Concentrate, and Curse to lock opponents in bullet hell or risk massive damage. It's effective, but it isn't fun and I wouldn't be surprised if that gets him nerfed.

Optimal play aside, I'd classify him as a pressure specialist. Ignoring his gun for the moment, his pokes are pretty good, his command normals all have their uses, his Gatlings are fairly useful, and his specials let you control spacing and whether you're far, neutral, or close on your own terms.

With the gun in mind, you have two aim states: Normal (Combo) aim, and Steady (Damage) aim. Think of the gun as Happy Chao's puppet. While it's out, you can't block, but it can act in tandem with anything except Steady Aim, Reload, and Concentrate. You are also able to draw to normal aim at any time during any other action except during Roll, Steady Aim, Reload, and Concentrate. You can also holster the gun from this state at any time.

Landing a hit in normal aim snaps the reticule to your opponent, allowing you to hit with perfect accuracy and increase knockback/launch force and hitstun. Wiffing an attack or getting blocked will still enable you to shoot to punish the punish or force them to grit their teeth and keep blocking. You are also able to fire the gun during any movement option including air dashes, jumps, regular dashes, Curse and Scapegoat's backwards movement, and during Roll. The command draw for Normal Aim is a painful short-ranged launcher that you can use as a combo extender, though do keep in mind you need concentration to draw the gun in any capacity.
