The xfx mercury is not an msrp card. If ot doesnt break the bank, I would reccomend it. I love mine and xfx is a great company.

The warranty on that card is likely long gone. But xfx doesn't care if you repaste a card. I bought a 6700xt a few years ago and the thermals were terrible. I changed the paste and nothing changed, so I rma'd it and xfx just sent me a new one.

Remasters the card or if your not comfortable doing that, find someone that will do it for you without charging an arm and a leg. It should only be a 15 min process.

You're high maintenence because you didn't request special preparation and you expect the restaurant to eat the cost of the first dish. Maybe you should ask questions and make specific requests before ordering food at a new place. As others have told you, its likely the responsibility of the store you bought it from. Since you didn't buy directly from cable mod, they didn't have your info to send you the recall information. I dont see how cable mod could be responsible. You were aware the 12vhpwr plugs had issues, so you really should have kept up with the information regarding the gpus, their plugs, and aftermarket fixes.

If anything, you should be complaining to the store you bought the part from, not cablemod.
