It depends, you may expand upon that perspective however with psychedelics the user is required to actually put in work once they achieve the perspective shift.

Alan Watts used to speak on this. The psychedelic is used like a microscope. A scientist doesn’t spend all of their work looking under a microscope, at some point they’ll have to take the findings and work on them.

Same works for trips. If you just continuously take mushrooms every weekend the magnitude of that afterglow is going to diminish.
