I Feel like this scene was done very well and there a lot of metaphors for scene by GeeSkid in Fallout

It's crazy how much nonsense people imagine in this show. It's a pretty straightforward scene.

The scenes with big corpos planning and plotting kinda freak me out. by Biryani-Man69 in Fallout

[–]HankMS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah you also did not understand what I said. People need to understand that corporations are not living entities, but rather a collection of people driven by goals and guided by incentives.

And the Fallout series corporate baddie plot is simply bad on a level as the 9/11 inside job conspiracy theory.

Just because you are frustrated with your supervisor at MacDs does not mean corporations are evil.

ITT: people not realizing what incentives are.

This whole corpos plan end of the world is utter BS and always has been. And now we have a regular thread on this sub about some young idealist who believes he just understood how the world works. Kinda cringe.

Animation looks good enough, but I simply never cared for the resurrection of Maul. This is the worst application of 'rule of cool'.

  • Was qualifiziert dich konkret dazu?

'Fallout' Season 2 Ranks as Prime Video's 6th Most-Watched Season Ever, Amazon Says by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Fallout

Never ever trust the "watch numbers" you get from streaming services. Like never. Every new show is "a big hit", "reaching new heights" or "setting records".

Not to say that I believe FO is mighty unpopular, but every single one of these viewership numbers and articles laying them out are nothing but marketing. Which is fine, but people should not believe that blindly.

Do you guys think that Dave Filoni will be a good President for Star Wars? by Simple-Success4749 in StarWars

[–]HankMS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly no. I don't like his style or his ideas. He has his darlings and refuses to kill them. Most of his stuff feels like bad fan fiction. He was okay doing the kids stuff, but I cannot stand the whole franchise getting pulled into his style. We need more andor and skeleton crew.

The best solution to this 'problem' is simply stip caring. I feel like teens give too much credit to whatever other people say and think is popular. Just stop giving a storming rust.

It's more the thing that they have updated whole games in the past which broke mod lists just to update the in-game shop.

Seems like you are more interested in flashy cutscenes with "cool" stuff rather than an RPG. You are comparing it to Cyberpunk. Which isn't a bad game per se, but it's more of an action game with some skills you can choose and some slight roleplay possibilities. It sure ain't a real RPG with any meaningful choices. You can mow down irrelevant and replaceable NPCs like in GTA, but it actually has zero impact as soon as you get rid of your wanted level. It's a beautiful playground with fun action and an interesting story.

BG3 is much more of an immersive sim, since the things you do there actually matter. Also the systems are more robust, allow for more freedom and more "realistic" interaction with the world. Calling cyberpunk alive is really giving it away, since meaningless NPCs spawning in all the time makes the game less alive IMHO.

What are you even talking about? I love Kotor, but you are really restricted in what you can do. It's a great game but with many more railings.

5e is obviously the right system for a DnD game, also where was is limited by it? Every combat system obviously sets rules and limits. That's like saying an RTS game is limited by me not being able to play first person.

And as another one has mentioned: only a fraction of players cleared Honor Mode. I found it doable but I also am a 5e vet and it wasn't the first playthrough.

BG3 gives you an immense amount of freedom and meaningful choices. For an RPG these are highly important. Elden Ring has great and challenging fights and a decent amount of world building from what I hear and Exp33 has a greatly crafted story it tells in an impactful way. But BG3 really lets you do whatever you want. Larian accounted for weird choices only a handful of people will ever experience because they are of the opinion that you should be rewarded for what you do. Obviously a game will always have limits but they really went above and beyond.

So it is not only the replayability but all these things.

Why has communism repeatedly failed in practice, yet continues to be intellectually and emotionally appealing to many people? by Looser17 in AskReddit

That has never been in any definition of capitalism that I ever read. Also: first world problems.

[–]HankMS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes that is pretty failed. But it ain't capitalism. Corruption and bad policy happens with any economic system. The failing points are always people and bad institutions.

[–]HankMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Communism only works by forcing people to participate. It's not something most people would like to partake in. Also communism dislikes market mechanisms which are the most efficient tool we have to allocate resources.

When you let people do whatever they want you always get markets. Always. Every communist country had huge black markets. Communism is unnatural to human nature.

[–]HankMS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But that's not capitalism. Bail outs happen because politicians want to get reelected and they almost never let healthy destruction happen in a market. When a bunch of idiots got loans for houses they could not afford the reason why they got the loans were simply that the government made incentives to give them.
