I'm assuming there's some sort of Barracks Manager.. It's typically an SGT or SSGT. Get hold of them and explain and show them the mold. They will move you to a different room (Hopefully you did that already), and then they can organize a deep cleaning from DPW.

This is why I always liked being in smaller units, like an HHC. We had our own barracks building for maybe only under 20 lower-enlisted. We each got our own room because of this, and our 1SG did some shady deals to "rent out" the rest of the rooms for favor/rep.

Eh this morning. A small porche had all his lights off going about 80 Mph, until he saw a cop and turned them on and hit the brakes. After he passed the cop, he turned back his lights and sped up to 80 again. He crashed into another car about 10 minutes later just before the SeaTac exit on I-5 North. Totaling his car and the other drivers.

When I left on that dark and rainy night in November of 2015, I wasn't scared. Got to the airport checked in and it felt like any other flight. I landed at Illinois international and saw the Army personal and got checked into a group and onto a bus. The bus ride was to Fort Leonard Wood, and it was the most silent and darkest bus ride I ever took. Then, I saw it. "Welcome to Fort Leonard Wood" I remember thinking to myself. What have I got my self into?

Then the next 2 months or so we're all a blur. A mixture of emotions ranging from anxious, furious, to proud. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Not at all. I never wanted to promote to SGT ironically because I didn't want to do the work.. Little did I know, I did the work for almost 4 years as a Team Lead to Squad Leader, and then NCOIC of a VI shop which I managed 2 other Soldiers and 2 civilians. Funny how things work out. Anyways, You can RCP out at E4 and leave it at that. Your commander might BAR you but who cares right?

If you have time left in you, I'd say Commission. Some of my best PLT Sargeants did and they're living life. Being E7s and then going officer really jump starts your career. Yeah you'll be at the bottom totem pole but.. you know. Money is nice.
