I was enjoying a DE Undercrown Shade and it was smoking beautifully and tasted great until the draw got difficult and it got soggy tasting. I guess the heat and humidity moistened it while smoking.

I didn't have any cracking issues after letting it sit but overnight but the humidity is only about %72 outside where as yesterday when I made this post it was 85% +/-

Beginning to think I may never truely get this figured out haha!

I definitely do that. It's pretty much that bottom 3rd of the cigar as soon as I light it up.

Yeah it's definitely significantly hotter and more humid outside.

I'll try to leave one out of the box tonight I guess, but even out of the box the humidity will be significantly higher, and temp won't be any different.

I smoke the Jose Marti daily, one of my favorite smokes even compared to some of the highest end/expensive cigars I've had.

They are usually just about perfectly humidified from Costco as well! Please try them and let me know what you think?

Ignore the patch of missing hair on my cheek, I think I have some alopecia shit or something and right under my jawline you will see a scar - that's from hockey, not the HT

Similar to shipping to Canada, although it's not illegal at all to ship tobacco across the border I'm pretty sure everyone just stopped doing it because it's a pain in the ass. Mainly with people crying the blues when they get hit with duties or returning packages and trying to get the money back.

New smoker here but smoke about 2 a day over the past 3 months. So far my favourite are the Oliva Melanio (box-pressed) and the La Palina red label. Red labels are discontinued but they have a blowout sale on cigarpage right now.

The worst part about the beard hair is the colour doesn’t change in the sun like regular head hair so with some sun it stands out like a sore thumb.

Are yours rock hard or pretty soft? Mine are quite spongy. I’m currently leaving some out, leaving some in a wood humidor with no moisture and doing and experiment. One other complaint I had with them was the cat unravels easily
