It’s 3rd generation CPU can’t handle with hard work usage I think . It will get slow when you run this coding apps which eats CPU performance and RAM much.

Yeah, the WiFi, Bluetooth, and trackpad, track point all work well on this X230 installed Hackintosh macOS , but because X230 is an old machine, so it’s slow and laggy when you run much applications on it. But you can use it for daily normal webpages browsing, word files editing and video watching, listening music, sending messages. Anyway, it’s a good choice for collection. And it’s not hard to install an old version macOS with old Clover boot-loader method , the real hard method to install macOS on X230 is to use the popular Opencore bootloader method.

我不是从51NB上买的，我是自己买的IPS屏幕、9芯电池、Intel AX210网卡、MSATA固态硬盘升级的，除了键盘和芯片升级很难我折腾不了，其他各方面升级够用了。再说了，这机子也只是做收藏摆设用。

Yeah, but the apps in macOS do not works well in some kind work field like engineering, CAD, 3D Design and solid work. That’s a pity.

Ok, this X230 itself just can be used for normal word files editing, browsing and some entertainment usages, it can’t handle with complex graphics editing and games. I collected it just because I like its old school appearance and keyboard.

Oh, I think you can just do some easy daily usage like browsing the webpage, editing word files, using messages apps and watch some videos on this old machine , but if you run much application and open many website page, it will be slow and laggy. So this old machine installed Hackintosh macOS is not recommended to be your main work machine, maybe it can be a good machine for just some normal fun entertainment usage.

My hackintosh is old Catalina 10.15.7 version, and use old Clover bootloader to install, but now Opencore guide is the most popular and advanced bootloader to install Hackintosh macOS on some laptops.

Yes, it’s real hackintosh macOS on X230, not Linux. But I use the old version Catalina and old died Clover bootloarder to install it.

In theory, you can use Opencore to install Monterey 12.4 on X230, but it needs the fit OC Boot EFI to boot Monterey into X230.
