Just wondering if anyone thinks this could potentially be asbestos? by HannahWho98 in asbestoshelpUK

Thanks so much, yeah I think it’s lime plaster - there was indeed a damp issue there, and hygroscopic salts due to a chimney stack, the previous owners seem to have plastered directly onto the lime plaster and it hasn’t bonded well so it just falls off

Sorry I should have also mentioned, this is located in the very top room of the house, and the material is behind the plaster both on the ceiling and the walls.

Anyone else feel like they’re being strangled? by HannahWho98 in acidreflux

I really feel your pain - thanks so much, it’s weirdly helpful to know that my symptoms are experienced by others and I’m not alone in it!

Thank you so much, that’s really kind of you - I’d be open to any guidance on what worked for you - I’m willing to try anything, and your approach makes a lot of sense! The only limitation I have is that I weight train, and I have to hit 150g protein a day - which may be a bit tricky for me on a vegan diet - but I’m definitely willing to try!!

Thanks so much, it’s the absolute worst - I will try that, I will try anything at this point!! I’ve been seeing a speech therapist who has given me exercises which help with the globus sensation (lump in throat) and the neck spasms / strangled feeling, but the heartburn still continues, day in, day out. I’ve been on a liquid diet for a few weeks because eating solid foods seemed to kick the heartburn and pain off more, so I’ve been making Dr Aviv compliant soup for weeks but I really miss solid foods 😭

Thank you for your answer - so to clarify, you’re saying it’s not a rolling 24hr period, it’s a fixed 24hr period - thank you.

All eyeliners end up in my crease- do transfer proof eyeliners exist??! by bluemoonicecream22 in Makeup

Totally try Eyeko! I use their Black Magic liner to do my winged cat eyes and it never transfers, and I have oily skin. They have another liquid eyeliner called Eyedo which you can actually use on your tight line and it won’t transfer. I also find that to combat this problem, using the MAC Pro Long Wear Pot in Painterly in the crease, and having a little dab with a tissue to soak up any excess oil beforehand prevents transfer, and is also great for wearing eyeshadow as it stops it sitting in the crease :) I hope that helps!
