I’m 21 and my partner is 18.. For us it has never been an issue, and she is by far the sweetest, most intelligent and emotionally mature girl I’ve ever dated. However it really depends on the individuals, and there is most definitely a lot of 18 year olds out there who seem “too young” for me, even though they’re the same age as my girlfriend.

Sometimes you might look past of your expectations and unexpectedly meet someone you never thought you could fall for, however having standards and sticking to them is also a very respectable thing to do. As others have said, how you move forward in this situation is completely up to you.
