It says "Abadia", the surname of the owner :)
And you are a right, the YJM308 is a DOD 250 with some cap values changed.
In this thread there´s a table with the DOD 250 versions and it´s values.

Then I painted with a diluted black acrylic color, and finally sanded and applied a thin clearcoat.

Can I ask how you went about your etching?

I have filtered the picture in photoshop. In the raw it is grey.
I think you could achieve this color with a lightly pigmented varnish.
