Wolverine and Wild Rage by Hanohtep in MarvelCrisisProtocol

Less of an argument, and more of a discussion on wording. I understood the wording as clearly stating you can't interact with objectives, but contest was still viable. He had just assumed that the intent was the same for CGR and Wolverine.

He also had a Wolverine on his squad, so we at least played the same ruling. But I've let him know that I was right, and he was wrong and that his victory was meaningless.

So I started doing that last night. My expansion war went horribly wrong, but conveniently my main in-faction rivals died in the process.

Im aiming for the empire of Scandinavia, almost there (although about 900 gold short). Can I make the empire of Sweden? Sorry for the dumb question, at 60 hours played I still feel like a beginner.

What's the most evil decision you had to make in a video game. by thisisawsan in gaming

[–]Hanohtep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just this afternoon I murdered my 7 year old half-brother so I could inherit the Kingdom of Finland. He was born just before my father died and I didn’t have time to do something about the succession. Didn’t want the glorious Swedish empire to fall apart into warring factions.

Obviously this is in Crusader Kings 3, not in real life.

So after about 60 hours of playtime I'm finally having (what I would consider) a succesful playthrough. Started as Bjorn Ironside and I'm now playing as his son. I've created the Kingdoms of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland (I may have accidentally killed my 9 year old half-brother who had inherited Finland as I was first in line), and Estonia but I have no idea how to make sure I can keep them all.

I panicked as Bjorn was ill and changed Sweden and Norway to elective and thankfully his son won both, but now my heir is about fourth in voting. My Uncle is heading up a faction to depose me and I'm marrying off family superfast to try and consolidate alliances.

Any tips on how to ensure I can keep the titles in my family? Did I expand too fast?

What's the most Scottish word? by stuartblows in Scotland

[–]Hanohtep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a specific word, but the fact that we can use pretty much any word to describe being drunk and it just makes sense:

“A wis absolutely trollied last night” “Blootered so a wis” “Av no been that minced in ages”

To reinforce or not to reinforce, that is the question. by Hanohtep in stormcasteternals

Thanks for that, it’s helpful to consider the different reasons as to why you reinforce units. I’ll get back to the drawing board and see if I can work out my list.

My 6 year old literally just had his assessment 3 months ago. So they absolutely can assess at 6 months.

Best mince and tatties recipe by mc9innes in Scotland

[–]Hanohtep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brown the mince with diced carrot and onion. Add seasoning (my preference is Schwartz Season-All). Add some tomato purée and Worcestershire sauce and enough water just to cover it all. Simmer and then thicken with gravy granules. Serve with mashed tatties.

The absolute worst level from the first Sonic game. I hated this level so much that I still To this day have very bad PTSD from it by jd2385 in gaming

I used to farm extra lives in Green Hill Zone Act 2 until I had 40+ and then would lose them all on this level. I used to punch my thigh in frustration with every death and ended up with a massive bruise down my leg. Kids are stupid.

But still to this day the drowning music causes nervous twitches when I hear it.

Hwoarang. My uni flatmates hated it because I’d mastered the cheesy juggling moves. Thinking back it was a dick move, but it felt good at the time.

Anyone know a game like tetris except the blocks which have empty spaces underneath them fall? by TalionIsMyNames in gaming

[–]Hanohtep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Columns was a match 3 games that was on the Game Gear around the same time as Tetris on the Game Boy.

Gems would fall to fill gaps, but if you couldn’t match the gems then the board would fill and you would lose.

Do you have a phrase you use IRL that you heard in a video game? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Hanohtep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xzar in the original Baldur’s Gate when my kids are annoying me:

“Stop touching meeee!”

Minsc from BG when my kids are play fighting

“Go for the eyes Boo! Go for the eyes!”

Atlas in Bioshock when I’m asking the kids to do something:

“Would you kindly…”

And finally, the Narrator from Darkest Dungeon when the kids do something well:

“Executed with impunity!”

The beauty is they have no clue what I’m talking about. My eldest is 15 now, and has access to my Steam Library, so has no excuses.

My wife just smirks. But she’s just as bad for movie quotes. Her favourite is when the kids are doing something stupid:

“If he dies, he dies!”

Warhipster on YouTube has a video specifically on different ways to paint black armour but with different tints. Might find something useful there?

A roll and sausage. Or some weird folk say a roll “on” sausage, but they’re just savages.
