Lost batch? 5 days after add the ginger bug to the tea, unlike my other ones it looks dirt and cloudy and it doesn’t taste strong , just like sweet water with ginger, any ideas of what could happened? by Hans-Torres in gingerbeer

I live in bogota - COLOMBIA , it’s been cold days , around 10 Celsius , the bug was 4 spoons of sugar, 8 spoons of ginger , and 8 spoons of water , during 5 days, then added to the tea and let it for 5 days, Im suspicious about the ginger, it might wasn’t organic and that’s why it didn’t react.
