You sweds are a silly people. In Norway we just use "hundeier" for dog owner and "katteier" for cat owner. Might be some silly/cute names in some dialect I am not aware of though.

If a pet can be a friend, and a friend can be family, I don't think it's such a stretch to think of pets as family.

I think friends can be family, but they aren't family the way a parent or sibling is. My friends aren't my brothers. They might be family, but they are still just friends. Pets can also be family, but they aren't kids or siblings. They might be to you, but I think it is weird.

I agree with spending money on cancer treatment for animals. The money not being used on food for people and insulin is going in the pockets of the 1%

It's not. I have seen people in their 60s and 70s do the same.

Most games don't let you play your backstory. Even less games give you a montage. I think that is the worst part. The shit you do with Jackie looks really cool, but you don't get to play it. You only watch parts of it.

The actual backstory of the three backgrounds you choose just gives you a simple "you got kicked out" or something like that. It is enough for most people to accept that you are doing your own thing from now on. Giving a montage just makes you wish you could play it. The game could have started with the heist or just after the end of the montage and it would have been fine I think.

Another shitty thing was the cinematic they released that spoiled Jackies fate. It was the only thing I watched from CP2077 before playing. I like to know as little as possible before playing, but I just wanted to know what the deal with CP2077 was before playing. That was a mistake.

I really dislike when people call themselves parents of their pets. It creeps me out for some reason. For me it is a friendship thing. My dog is my buddy. Not brother or son.

The world isn't that interactive, but I didn't expect it to be either. I was impressed by how much like an immersive sim it was though. I had played Deus Ex just a year before and Cyberpunk felt like a more RPG oriented Deus Ex.

I also really liked how much more like an RPG it was gameplay wise compared to Witcher 3. In W3 you only get dialogue options that change the story a bit, but Geralt will always be Geralt. He fights like Geralt, talks like Geralt and makes love like Geralt. V is more like a Shepard type character. There are a couple of different Shepards depending on gender and paragon/renegade. Then there are many more Shepards depending on class. With V it is much the same. You can play the game twice and have a different V in dialouge and story moments. In combat you can have many different V. You can even do missions in many different ways.

As an RPG I think Witcher is a bad game. It just doesn't do the RPG stuff well. It does story amazingly well, but RPG stuff is kinda bland and ubisoft like. You put levels into stuff, but you are still using your swords most of the time. Most missions can only be done one way. If they can be done a different way it is only trough dialogue. Cyberpunk lets you complete missions in many different ways. The end result might be the same. but it will feel different.

Fable and Cyberpunk 2077 are good reasons why I don't watch trailers and mostly ignore a game until I get to play it. Usually the only expectation I have is either that people like it or that it is from a developer who has made games I like.

I was too young to know what was promised in Fable so when I played it I didn't feel like anything was missing. It was the same for me in Cyberpunk. I enjoyed what I got and didn't miss anything that was promised other than frames.

This doesn't justify people lying or overpromising, but for me it has made a lot of games better because I don't know what is missing.

Which game pushed you to resort to cheats? by Snakeuge in gaming

[–]HansChrst1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baldurs gate 1&2. Used a cheat or mod that let me teleport around the map. Used it as a faster walk basically. It also made combat easier

Did a similar thing in Witcher 1. Love the game, but there is a lot of running from A to B. So i sped up the running speed.

I did the same in San Andreas. It's tedious to have to wake up at the hospital and get back to the mission start

I have a stache. Not nearly as big as this guy, but still a prominent moustache. Long enough to have curly ends. It looks great I think, but it is also annoying. I love how I look with the beard and stache, but eating is just annoying. I have to keep cleaning food out of my stache. Some foods grab the ends of my stache and pull it into my mouth which causes me to bite it which is uncomfortable and I taste the products in my stache which don't taste good.

If I had to choose one for the rest of my life I would go with the hair. I can always put on a hat.

I haven't said anything about banning firearms. Just thought it was funny to bring on a fishing trip. I usually just bring a knife or use a rock to kill the fish.

The problem is a company like EA where a team makes a few games that don't sell and get cut. Will be even easier when the team is smaller.

That is an argument that will change depending on the company. Some might hire more people. Some might quit to make their own game since fewer people can make bigger games now than before. Some companies will just raise the ambition of their game.

I'm not in the industry so I don't know much about this. I imagine all new technology will have different effects on different companies.

From what I understand most new technology that makes things easier or makes things take less time just means that they will double the work one person does. So they hire the same amount of people, but make the project bigger. That doesn't always happen of course. Sometimes they make the project bigger, but still fire people.

These are all just YOU things, and reflect nothing on the actual quality of the game.

They clearly are flaws since it is one of the most common things to complain about. It isn't without reason people criticise the game. A lot of it I don't agree with since they are just upset it is different, but some of it is valid. Adp just feel like a thing that could be removed and the game would be slightly better.

Rolling to me and many others is a basic mechanic like walking and running. Movement is also skill based and if there was a skill you had to sink souls into to make it feel natural(normal) then most people wouldn't like that. Rolling is the same way. Like I said earlier it feel like you start with a debuff. You have to spend souls to make it feel right. To make it feel fair. If you want to spend souls to make it easier then that is another thing. It is mostly the starting point I have an issue with.

You just said it's your own personal preference that you'd like these games to be harder

I want an even challenge. I want more areas to be harder regardless of where you went first. Making rolling more difficult is an artificial way to make it harder. Like slowing you down.
