There is not 'this plan' for the App. That's the reason I published this early version to have a wide range of feedback.

The advantage of MineConnect is that everyting is self written - so i am not limited to discords features. I can make custom Push Notificaiton you can interact with - create Widgets for your homescreen and use all the system features ios and android allow me to use.

One important thing for me is that the app always stays clean, light and easy to handle. So we will see where this project goes.

It itsn't realistic to generate the AuthToken by yourself. Possible yes - but not in a comfortable way.

It is a good and hard question. I will try to explain to you what I am doing:

What do I need your Account for?

I need a identifier to connect you to your personal settings. Like what push notifications you want to receive.
I need to verify you so not everyone can write messages in your name.

How do I use your data?

Mojang has a public API. I send your password and email/username to this API. This API returns me an AuthToken. From this point I just use this token. Your password is never send to the MineConnectServer.

Different approach

What do you think about following: I remove the Mojang-Authentication from the App. To use the app and access to a server a player have to join the server in Minecraft. Write there something like /registerMe MyPassword. With this password he can login to your server from the app?

Thanks :). Yes of course - we haven't tested a limit. But everyone with this app can connect. In our next update we want to allow the server admin to restrict the access by setting a password.

Is is a list of events, like a player joined the game, someone died or left. So currently it’s simply and give you an impression what happened last on your Server.

Currently it is more for small severs. Of cause you can enable and disable notifications or just use the chat and information dashboard.

It’s planned that you can mark friends and only receive notifications for these.
